true many mangas have quiet moments, or even quiet chapters which can make a nice change.
I think romance would work well because it's quite predictable whats going on from the context.
slice of life would get hit hard because it's often very general or random themed chapters that might be hard to tell from context alone
comedy would end up being slapstick I guess because you can't have written jokes.
fighting/shounen might manage it although the impact of the fighting would be strange without shouting attack names. the fight sequences would look good but would probably have to be clearer with what's going on.
well I think any genre would have to make sure it's clear what's going on haha
I get the feeling that silent mangas have a faster pace, maybe because they dont have exposition pages.
a manga that's based on a true story or a well known story, such as a world war battle or something might actually work well, because the reader has an absolute ton of information from previous stories and documentaries, so you can get away with not talking about things because the reader already knows them. like looking back on your old photos and you're like "oh yeah this was when i did xyz"
similarly anything that plays on well known tropes and stereotypes would have an advantage.
alternatively a style that plays on the art style being beautiful to look at, so the focus is less on the actual story, but more on the beautiful artwork, could get away with a slower paced story, and therefore more chances at shots which convey information without text.
