Well Tyran, I'll lead by telling you that none of us are "professional anime writers". Some of us do make money on our writing, but no one here is a big name that you've heard of. We're mostly enthusiasts from all across the world, and MR itself caters to learners, not masters. So please keep that in mind.
That being said, I'll give you the best piece of knowledge I have on the subject: Writing is hard. "Anime", or whatever you choose, is just the set dressing, and doesn't matter one damn.
In other words: Even the best writers will have their rough days. Nothing worthwhile ever gets created with effort. But if you can learn how to out that effort in, find the will to do so, then it won't matter how bad it hurt if you make a good product.
The second part of that is that good writing can stand alone. You give it whatever kind of setting you want, a well composed story will be just as good whether it takes place on Middle-Earth or the moon. A story can be "anime", but that's just how it "looks", where the inspiration comes from. In pure written words, there is nothing unique to anime or manga that has any value anymore. What is anime without the art? Strip that away and what are you left with? What do you still like about it? Answer that, and you be one step closer to figuring out why you want to "write anime" in the first place.
