I like how you work on incorporating more and different colors into your pieces! A lot of artists tend to be scared of using more colors--especially colors that they're not used to-- (from what I've personally seen anyways), so it's nice to see you using so many colors!

I am cursed with large heads from my noob manga drawing days so I get you on old habits :P
cool shinigami scene, can't wait to see it finished :)
and yes background practice is important, I'm only realising that now haha

This was what that previous sketch was supposed to be, a practice with backgrounds (may change by the final piece, since my friends are helping to critique it so I can improve!)

Thank you canaggable! I'm always afraid I'm using too many at once or something, a lot of artists I've seen tend to stick to a few colours, but I really like using colours heh

Eh, also, I realized I have no idea how to add in a signature with links to my commission stuff, so is there a forum anywhere explaining how? Or can maybe someone help out this small potato? Heh

Adding stuff to your signature is super easy! Just go up to the top of the page there, click Profile > Modify Profile > Forum Profile.

Once you're on that page, just scroll down to the signature box, type/paste in what you want, and then save it at the bottom of the page!

Protip: use a short link generator like tinyurl or Google. There is a character limit to the signatures, so that will save you space.

Nice job on the full picture, it takes a lot of effort to do big drawings like that!

Ignore how terrible the anatomy is in this, it was just a quick sketch I wanted to get down for warm up, heh

Ah, yeah I do have to work on proportions a little! I'm trying to learn how to draw a wide variety of body shapes and sizes, as well as learning how to draw defined muscles... It's very challenging, but I'm hoping I'll be able to see good results!

Drawing new and varied things is great and don't worry about not looking perfect at first, when you explore new body types and poses you're starting fresh. Keep it up and keep experimenting and you'll get good :)

You've made better on your new years resolution than me when it comes to doing more art. Big congrats on that. Sometimes a little bit goes a really long way, and every doodle is another step forward. I like to look at it as "It's one drawing I didn't have yesterday."

I'd say for me personally that the white highlight, especially on hair, is a little much, but that was a very common style a while back, so it's definitely valid as is.
Haha signature go brr.

MahluaandMilk- Yeah, I do tend to go a bit crazy with making things shiny, especially hair, I really enjoy making shiny/sparkly things so I get carried away! I've learned to control it a little bit, heh

I haven't been able to post anything new here because I'm finishing up a comic for a zine, which I sadly can't show here yet but enjoy my stupid five minute doodle of a trend that was going around on twitter

If anyone somehow understands the reference for this, then congratulations, we're instantly friends!

You've got a comic in a zine? Way to go! I hope that brings in some attention and a little recognition that will turn into some cash.

My friend and I were talking about making a character from a series have curly hair so this is what I contributed to my agenda

Really, there isn't much to it, I just love the little chibi I drew heh
