I've missed it every year and finally I remembered....on the day itself.
For those that don't know, Inktober is an event during October where artists try and draw something in ink every day in the month. It can be traditional or digital, whatever you want to improve your skills on.

there are also official prompt words for each day if you get stuck for inspiration.

I'll finally be participating myself. Anyone else up for it??

Ill post my art for each day in this thread, and I encourage anyone joining in to do the same so we can all easily see each other's stuff.

my own rule for myself is that I can't sketch in pencil first - I have to jump in with ink straight away. Rather than one ink a day it will be one page of ink, be it many little drawings or one big one.

Hhhm, I would like to find some reason to draw again before my normal 12 Days run which has become the only time of the year I draw. Maybe I'll give this a try.

there are official themes for each day if you get stuck for your own idea. the more company the merrier.

Starting with a quick ball point pen thing I drew quickly on break in like 20 minutes. Just Misa from BAND-MAID slamming whsikey from an iconic picture on her Insta. Misa's rock n' roll. I want to try everyday so we'll see how it goes, really I just need to draw regardless of quality.

Hell ya, BAND-MAID is my music obsession now. I love everything about the group, they have such a tight sound and just great tunes. World Domination and Just Bring It are such great full on rock records, I was blown away by them this year. They just keep getting better you know, as soon as I heard "anemone" I knew the band was great. It helps that all the members are awesome as well, just a great group.

Day 1 - Izarella. Was a bit more stressful than I imagined. Gawd every element is all over the place. I suck! I really suck!

Was about to crash so couldn't even comment on previous drawings. Dude love the house tree castle thing. And the bot! And whats that there on the top left? These are your own creations? It seems like a whole new style haha

@Manimal you even keep up to date with J-artists' instas Manimal? I need to try out a song from BAND MAID. What would you recommend.

And yes, regrets all around for taking part in this hahaha.

@lego yeah all originals but still taking inspiration from the previous style and artist I mentioned, trying to be more abstract and get away from "logical" thinking and being "imaginative". top left - hell if I know I just drew it :P

@ Legs : Ya some of them. Man I can list so many songs but go with Dice for a visual and Turn Me On for an even better well crafted and awesome tune. BAND-MAID's early stuff is okay but they didn't get good until they started taking over most of the songwriting, a rock band is only as good as what the actual band can write. They are a legit great group of musicians, Miku less so but she is the total heart and vision of the band, the lyricist and an improving rhythm guitarist. Without her they are nothing. Truly a band where all members matter.

For Day 2 I realized I didn't draw a picture for my year 2 compliation for my music, so I did a really quick dirty lil' one with my mascot character Midnight Stella and very rough sketches for each album I did from beginning of July 2017 to beginning of July 2018. I want to draw normal things like nice character art, I just need to get in some kind of groove here, so rough quick ones first. Ignore how I can't draw a maple leaf correct, it's shameful.

And don't mind, I can barely draw the continent I come from properly. It'd be hilarious if it weren't sad.
