Suuper's Sewing and Crafts (Not quite cosplay yet)
« on: June 06, 2018, 04:58:47 PM »
Well since I do this a whole bunch and the intention is always that I eventually make a cosplay (or at least gain the skills to do so) I will post this. This is what I get up to when not drawing and wasting time.

Mother and child purse set. I love making things cheaply and I have a bunch of free fabric I was given so I will make a bunch of these as gifts.
Need a craft section on this forum!! (let me know if there's a better place to post)

Damn, as if you couldn't already do everything suuper haha. That looks legit as heck! I'd say definitely go for it with etsy. When I get my hands on extra cash I'd be sure to order something too.

Yeah, once I get a little more experienced with my sewing machine and all it's little troublesome quirks, I've thought about making some stuff. I've had people compliment my drawstring bag that I carry everywhere and they're like "where did you buy it" and I'm like "my high school apparel class lol."

@lego haha well craft is my strong point lol art is what I am failing at which is why I do so much XD. I might try out Etsy at one point.

@mahlua I too have a kawaii draw-string bag i made as one of my earlier projects. Its still one of my best pieces of work :P
It PERFECTLY fitted my bluetooth speaker by pure accident lol
but yeah those sewing machines sure have their quirks :/

bragging continues

Glow in the dark shoelaces for the drawstring!!

OMG yaassss with the glow in the dark strings.
Mine is the kind you can wear on your back like to the gym and stuff.

(My sewing machine loves to change the tension even when I haven't moved the notch, specifically. And also hates baste stitching in particular.)

Nice job on the bags. I lack any ability when it comes to fabric unlike my sister who made her own wedding dress lol.

@mahlua mine also likes to change the tension from too little to too much with no warning :P yeah i figured you meant a large one. I generally stay small because of not having enough fabric T_T

@robin thanks. I think my mum made her own wedding dress actually :P Don't worry about ability, you just haven't learnt it yet :)

I also prefer to work small, haha. Sorry to hear about the sewing machine. I hope you can get it fixed or get a new one soon!

I've tried to fix it a couple of ways, not exhaustive yet, but trying to work back on drawing for a while as a main, so probably wont be fixed for at least a month now, but thanks. It was cheap to begin with, and a hand-me-down at that, so good as a starter but i'll probably buy a new one anyway in a year regardless.

Fixed my sewing machine a couple of days ago. Turns out the bar which holds the needle and moves it up and down, the connection that drives it up and down had slipped because of the extra force when I went through a zip by accident, so I just had to loosen the screw and wiggle it back up to the right place, and tighten it back.

I could finally finish the second of these purses, and so the twins are finally reunited yaaaay :P
