                                       YOUNG WOMAN

The year is 2021 and technology has truly evolved beyond all expectations.

PAGE 25

PANEL 1, 2, 3 - Random people using different electronics.

                                        YOUNG WOMAN

Whether it’s for communications, travel, research, saving lives or...

   PANEL 4 - A war-torn battlefield.

               YOUNG WOMAN
            (SPOKEN WORD)
         ...Or taking life...

PANEL 5, 6 - An evolution of technology.

               YOUNG WOMAN
            (SPOKEN WORD)
It’s safe to say - technology has both shot us forward into the future and yet still brings humanity’s primitive nature to the forefront.

PAGE 26

PANEL 1 - Profile of the main character. (don’t have an actual name for her. Figured I would leave the names up to you - so for now I’m calling her Sally)

               SALLY
            (SPOKEN WORD)
Okay, maybe I’m being a little too dark for an intro so let me touch on some lighter notes.
                        -
My name is Sally L.name, and I’m nothing more than your typical high schooler.

PANEL 2, 3, 4 - Views of her studying, in class, hanging with friends, etc.

                                        SALLY
                                (SPOKEN WORD)
I enjoy the normal things teenage girls do but most of all there’s one thing I like that isn’t girly one bit.

PAGE 27 AND PAGE 28

PANEL 1 - Sally in her room, messy look and completely sucked into an FPS game. Around her is snacks and drinks as she is still in pajamas.

               SALLY
            (SHOUT)
Hell yeah! Take that you pussies! EAT MY BULLETS!

            (SPOKEN WORD)
         That’s right - I’m just your typical...

PAGE 29 AND PAGE 30

PANEL 1 - Series title promo

   Caption - GAMER GIRL

PAGE 31

PANEL 1 - A detailed view of the TMS (Track Motion System); her’s is a makeshift one (cheap and low end). It suspends the player but just to keep them in place. Gloves and ankle bracelets monitor movement of extremities but actual walking and running its controlled by a track that follows the player’s hips.

               SALLY
            (SPOKEN WORD)
You’re probably wondering what kind of machine that was and the game I was playing along with it? Well it's the magnum opus of my late brother. It’s known as the “Track Motion System”. An augmented physical and visual assist mod that my brother created to help simulate the real presence inside a virtual world.

PAGE 32

PANEL 1, 2, 3, 4 - Each component of the TMS. She explains each component.

PAGE 33 AND PAGE 34

PANEL 1 - Some random person suspended inside an empty room. The room itself is completely covered in black half-circle spheres. The person is wearing a full body suit. (this is the high-end verison of the TMS - its known as “The Immersion Room”).

            SALLY
         (SPOKEN WORD)
Now if you have money, you can afford one of these high-end modules of the TMS...

PAGE 35 AND PAGE 36

PANEL 1 - The same as page 33/34 but the room is now a virtual world with the player, except without the restraints. (the full body suit now is their armor in game).

               SALLY
            (SPOKEN WORD)
These are known as “Immersion Rooms” and they are technically the full-dive experience without the actual full-dive.

PAGE 37

PANEL 1 - Sally shrugging her shoulders.

                                        SALLY
                                 (SPEECH)
Yeah, we’re just not at that point yet, but hey, we’re trying.

PANEL 2, 3, 4 - Different websites talking about the game that was created by her brother to test out his newly made equipment.

PAGE 38

   PANEL 1 - a box-cover promo of the game - MassiveKombat-ULTRA.

PAGE 39

PANEL 1 - The back cover of the box.

               SALLY
            (SPEECH)
The gist of it is it’s an MMOFPS distinctly made for the TMS. Yeah, you can play on any console but even PCs have a strong disadvantage to someone using a Track Motion System.

PAGE 40

PANEL 1 - Sally sits in her seat at school, thinking.

                                        SALLY
                                 (THOUGHT)
It’s been about a year since the game’s been out; the same time my brother died in his car accident.

PANEL 2 - Closer view of the panel 1.

                                        SALLY
                                (THOUGHT)
                       And yet...

PANEL 3, 4 - Flashback to the unknown player that shot her.

                                        SALLY
                                (THOUGHT)
...Someone was using his handle that day.

PAGE 41

PANEL 1, 2, 3, 4 - Various moments of when her brother was teaching her programming and computer science.

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
Thanks to my brother however, I’ve used my skills with programming to try and track his handle if it gets used again.

PANEL 5 - A close up on her phone on the desk, unlit.

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
Unfortunately, that was a few weeks ago. But something about today felt - different.

PANEL 6 - Same as panel 5 but a notification appears on it. It says “Player RUSE located”.

                                        SALLY
                                (WHISPER)
                       Found them.

PAGE 42

PANEL 1, 2, 3 - Sally walks down the hallway (each panel being a different part of the hallway).

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
My phone says that the login is coming from a computer in the lab room. It’s 1:30 so no one should be in there.

PANEL 4 - Close up of the room number above the door.

PAGE 43

PANEL 1 - Sally goes to grab the door handle.

PANEL 2, 3 - She struggles to open the door.

PANEL 4 - A side profile of her, an outlined shadow of her brother stands behind her with his back to her’s.

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
I kept telling myself it couldn’t be him. There’s no way it could be him... So, who could it be?

PAGE 44

PANEL 1 - She flings the door open. Keeping her head down not to see inside.

PANEL 2, 3, 4 - She slowly opens her eyes to see the room is dark but there a glow from within the room.

PANEL 5, 6 - She looks up to notice that glow is a monitor screen.

PAGE 45

PANEL 1 - Close up of the screen shows the character login for RUSE but no one sitting in the chair.

PANEL 2, 3, 4 - She makes her way over to the computer and clicks on the personal settings icon for the character.

PANEL 5 - Close up of personal data shows that her brother’s info was still on there.

PANEL 6 - An unknown person points their hand like a gun to the back of her head.

               UNKNOWN PERSON
            (SPEECH)
It’s funny that I had to pretty much hack into the game to get the drop on you there, but here...

PAGE 46

PANEL 1 - View from behind the unknown person.

               UNKNOWN PERSON
            (SPEECH)
...here I.R.L, you’re way too easy to catch off guard.

PANEL 2 - View from in front of Sally, her face in shock.

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
That voice... I’ve heard it before - but where?

PAGE 47

PANEL 1 - Borderless panel; the shadow outline of the unknown person is behind Sally.

               UNKNOWN PERSON
            (SPEECH)
Judging by your posture and natural reactions, I think it’s safe to assume you’re finally realizing who I am.

PANEL 2, 3, 4 - She starts to figure out who it is with that kind of logical personality as the man behind her, remembering one particular friend of her brother’s.

PAGE 48

PANEL 1 - View from behind Sally; her head cocked to the side as she looks back at her brother’s friend.

                                       SALLY
                                (SPEECH)
Yeah I do now. Come to think of it, you were a bit younger than my brother but he was the one teaching you programming.

PANEL 2 - Side view of them.

               SALLY
            (SPEECH)
I remember you were a freshman when he was a senior...

PANEL 3, 4 - She spins around in the chair to face him.

               SALLY
            (SPEECH)
...essentially, my brother taught you everything you know, right?

PANEL 5, 6 - The unknown man’s face was serious then a smirk filled his face.

PAGE 49

PANEL 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 - The man takes an eraser off the computer desk and puts his arm behind him. He flicks the eraser at the light switch, turning on the lights for the room.

               SALLY
            (THOUGHT)
That shot - off a blindside in the dark... it’s honestly inhuman.

PAGE 50

PANEL 1 - Full profile of her brother’s friend. (again the name is all you).

               BROTHER’S FRIEND
            (SPEECH)
You see, you have it backwards. It wasn’t your brother teaching me - I was teaching him... cause you see, I’m the original creator of MassiveKombat-ULTRA.
                        -
And more importantly, the co-creator of the Track Motion System.
