I've been sorta lurking for a while, so I guess I should say what's been going on?
Well first off, I dunno if anyone remembers how my friends were nudging me and their friend together, but we started dating shortly after that. It's been almost 3 months now and we've been spending every chance we get together.
Second, I've got a bad mix of hard and uninteresting classes this semester so it's been sapping my energy. I'm taking an accounting class which couldn't be farther from my interests and my art professors don't seem to like any "art" unless it deals with politics or other social problems. What if I just want to draw a pretty picture!?
Third, I've been having a lot of trouble with my neighbors whom I know are druggies. I haven't felt safe to walk to or from my apartment since the summer where two guys were whispering threats through my door at 2am to whoever they thought lived at this apartment. Also in a few days this apartment complex will be auctioned, so the new owner could tear it down to build a McDonald's for all I know.
So I've been looking around for other apartments near the campus for the past couple months and finally found one. I'm moving there this coming weekend. It's a couple hundred dollars more expensive ($785 per month utilities included), but It's a lot nicer and the area looks on the less rundown part of the area.
Me and my boyfriend are planning on sharing the apartment once he finds a better paying job than his current one. The apartment technically has two bedrooms, but they lock one unless you want to pay an extra $400 a month or have a roommate. So once he moves in we'll pay $525 each which is less than my current rent.
Fourth... My cat Roo, who was 7 years old, passed away a couple weeks ago. I had planned to take her with me to the new apartment since they allow cats, but I guess that won't be happening.
So... Long story short, good and bad things have happened. My depression and anxiety are creeping back, but at the same time I smile and laugh more than I'm used to. Hoping things improve once I get settled into the new place.
