sounds like a possible chapter in the MR cannon haha, where only the purest lurkers survive, despite new faces shedding the darkness of a guest account. Announcing their name name and personality.

still it's short lived as they fade back into obscurity after a single post, never to be herd of again. least we have Lego violin to keep the mood haha

Hey everybody. Just wanted to spring up to give our Writing Marathon some love. If you've got a spare half hour or more please feel free to take part in this week's writing activity which is on Stream of Consciousness. 

And if that seems like fun then please feel free to join up in the marathon, or maybe give one of the participants stories a review, long or short.

You guys don't know Ghost-town MR. This is nothing haha. But it is nice to see old faces suddenly popping up around here. Surreal to think that Nyo made an appearance even. Sherbert I thought had been eaten by lions or something

Nothing eats Sherbet, Sherbet eats the lions then goes for a long nap.

Think we need a group activity on here that doesn't require crazy commitment :P Used to take part in a lot of text based simrpgs back in the day, always found them fun to drop in on.

Any thoughts/ideas?

I've been wanting to level up my combat/action writing. But if someone has a preference for something else, maybe coming up with a project where the members can contribute to different parts... eh.

what if we played a sort of DnD?

we have Someone be a leader and make a villain/obstical/world/task

partispants bring MC from their works or make A OC

put it all in a melting pot and see where it leads us, as the Leader gives us feedback as the adventure proceeds

You would have the do the rping off site such as in skype or through pms and the post it as a chapter. There's rules to keep the forum from being overtaken by RP posts.

I'd suggest checking out WhiteCrow's MR Project. It's about like you're imagining I think and it had a lot of support. (I'm going to drag him back to finish that project if it's the last thing I do...)

It's on a hiatus... Crow changed jobs and had less time to write. I think he's devoting his time to Society X.

We've discussed me and Echo taking over the chapter writing with him being the planner. I'm gonna bug him more about it this summer.

 for some reason even though I know you're playing I feel like you're serious I can imagine you actually dragging him by the hair and throwing him on the keyboard hhaha-

Yes, though I do plan to take a summer class.

Hrm... He's bigger than me, (but not taller, much to my amusement) so I probably couldn't actually drag him, but I could guilt trip him if need be.  But that's what he gets with leaving with the cliffhanger of everyones' favorite tomboy dhampir being captured and leaving the cowardly werewolf on his own (my characters, Jasper and Thomas respectively).
