MR Writer's Anthology 2016
« on: September 20, 2016, 08:13:37 AM »
So here it is, Raiders, the MR Writer's Anthology!

It's been released earlier than planned because the search for a publisher process was going nowhere, but I hope it's a start at least. We need to be able to move forward rather than halt to a complete stop, and I'm optimistic that we'll do better with the 2017 Anthology.

Please read and share your thoughts.

Once again, thanks to everyone who participated!

Nice reference to the rules. Kinda wish you had put one between each story. Could also have used something at the end to conclude it. However, I'm just glad we got it together. Next year's will be better for sure!

That's actually not a bad idea! I'll update the version this week. What do you mean something at the end? Like an afterword? I can cook one up for sure. Just been silly busy really

Yeah like an afterwards of sort. Something about 'thanks for reading, please submit ideas and comments, participate in next year's anthologies'

Just something to close it out. Feels odd to just drop off when we have something at the beginning already.

I updated the afterword. Not sure how many anthologies actually got printed so I may need to work on that one.

I also added the bios haha. Those should've already been in there

I know this anthology is already done with submissions and being completed, but do you do this every year? Also, do you only accept manga, or are you open to other stories as well? I only ask, because I know for sure that I could have a story by next year to submit, if its happening again, but I can't guarantee that I'll be able to find a collaborator for this project specifically and get a manga done. If its only manga, I understand, but I thought it would be good to ask. :)

Well, you may note that it's the "writer's anthology", so no art required! We need only the written word.

And yeah, theoretically, it's a yearly thing.

I hope you don"t mind my asking, but what kind of stories do you look for? Like short one shot chapters, short stories, fan fics or all of the above?

I'm just woundering, because I would be up for this next year 100%

All kinds are welcome. We usually set a page limit though, so no epics. Although some (like myself), submit a couple of chapters for a longer story in each edition.

Lol, thanks. Good thing I don't go for epics then (yet..... ::))
