The Call Out: Mod-Kingdom - The Recruitment Stage
« on: June 14, 2017, 09:56:10 PM »

With the callout, I'm looking into reviving the RP story, Mod-Kingdom, a story base on the adventure of Mods and Raiders exploring the MR World and seeking to become to knew future ruler!

Here's the quick bit of the idea:

Spoiler

This story takes place in a magical fantasy realm. The human race lives under the rulers of Grand King, Hasith; and Grand Queen, Corycaly. Peace and prosperity has been held within their grasp over many centuries. Songs, poems, and plays have been written in tribute for Hasith and Corycaly for their valiant achievements in annihilating harm to society, corresponding with unique, intelligent races, and uniting people from all across lands and oceans to aid one another. The people love their lords and wish many more successes for them in the upcoming centuries.

However, Hasith and Corycaly may not have a century left in their bodies. A secret held within the walls of the greatest castle with the tallest tower in all the lands, MR Tower, has never left. They fear there time is coming to a close, and might only have a couple of decades, at best, left in this world. But they will not leave without their bloodline remaining.

Coryn Sken, the oldest; Legoh, the middle; and Churro, the youngest; have been raised, educated, and trained by the rulers. Each of the young children have shown potential gifts and uniqueness amongst themselves. Yet only dark and unfortunate future waits for them. As Hasith and Corycaly are fully aware of their childrens' potential, only one of the three can become the future ruler of MR.

Here is the map of the world where the events will be held. The entire size of the map is 4000x2000. So, there will be lots to explore and discover. Click on the map to enlarge it:
Map

Mod-Kingdom is an roleplaying story that takes on the adventure of Mods and Raiders with Coryn, Lego, and Churro raising in power in order to become the next ruler of MR! This version of MR is set in a medieval, fantasy realm with different creatures, motives, and race for everyone to explore and interact. As everybody fights for their reasons, this is an open world with little restrictions (but kept at pg-13 rated) to test out ideas and find creative solutions to solve their situations.

As the adventure unfold, familiar items, events, and people from MR cannon will come to light. Fine treasure, help people, or pillage villages. It's all up to you, your team and/or your cause. Will you join the fight?!

For those who are interesting in joining the adventure, reply here and I will send out a character sheet and answer any question you may have. For those who where in the previous story and would like to return, I still have your character information and motives if you wish to use the same character, or you may want to create a new character and/or pledge your allegiance to a new ruler.

Here is the list of Mods, with their recruitment speech, and Raiders, who've pledge to their ruler. Those who have MIA next to their names will be removed/replaced if this story can take off again.

Hmm, if I were to join, I wouldn't know exactly who to serve under. As I'm sure you all well know, when I am loyal, I am fiercely so. I guess I'll just have to read the old one and figure out all that from there.

All righty. Got my application turned in, and I suppose it's time to pledge my allegiance. It's tough, since I like both Coryn and Lego, but...I am a lady of the occult, the secret, the knowledge. I must bow before a king who makes this possible, and so I fight for Coryn's rightful crown. (Also he's the eldest son and should probably have the most birthright privilege.)

Alright! I have in mind chapter 11 and ready to start writing. However, we have one more issue at hand.

Since we have new Raiders joining and some MIA, I see two choices;

1) I can start writing and post chapter 11. We would start right where we left of and carry on. The new Raiders will carry on as if they have been introduced in previous chapters, but I will create a separate spoiler in the chapter(s) describing their characters. And as the story goes on, I'll rewrite the previous chapters to include the new and remove the MIA.

or vies versa

2) I can rewrite the previous chapters to include the new Raiders and remove the MIA Raiders (until they return), while chapter 11 would be posted later in the future.

Which option would you guys and gals like to choose? :hmm:

Option 1. Use the MIA Raiders as canon fodder

Looks like none are in disfavor of it, sooo...

Also, a couple of nights ago, I had a strange sort of fanfic-y idea regarding this universe. It's more than just a little out there and slightly hinted 18+, but I jotted down a quick thing in my phone before going to bed and waking up to forget it.

Here's what I wrote in my phone
WARNING: SEXUAL THEMES and massive character SPOILERS for in-universe!me
I titled the note "This Blood I've Laced Upon the Moon" after the Romanovs' song "King"
My king. My humanity. For the first, I forfeited the latter. Born a half-breed, perhaps my maligned fate is at fault. Nevertheless, in my mission to crown Coryn as sole ruler, I had to assassinate his brother--no easy task. At first, I infiltrated, but then was captured. Desperate, I fought him, then feigned awe at his power, then sacrificed my pride and made myself his wench in false repentance. The brute actually thought I'd fallen in love with him, but alas...I could have been quen--he even suggested it personally--but instead, naked and breathless, I returned his lovemaking with a whisper: "Long live the rightful heir; Glory be to King Coryn."

And then there was nothing but the taste of iron and the searing crunch of his teeth bearing into my knuckles as I silenced his attempts to call his guards.

I became inhuman for my Lord. I threw away my body, falsified my heart, and banished myself into the life my mother died to protect me from.

Long live the king.
Long live the unholy night to which I eternally belong.

My apologies to Lego, but in my defense it was just a silly, passing, fanfic-y idea and I recognize that. Don't read too much into it. Sorry to dash your hopes; it's not exactly a love confession. I just really like the infiltration idea and making something that personal. It's more dramatic, y'know?

...I read way too much trash probably.

And of course in a fantasy setting I'd be the dumb bastard willing to do such a thing.
Count yourself lucky that you aren't a Queen. It'd be worse.
