Sometimes it's nice to take your time on a work, and other times you get so caught up in what takes up your time that when you take a break and come back you find that everything looks like crap (which happens to me more often than I'd like).

But yes, random sketches of everyday things is a really good way to expand your skills, and you can really learn a lot. You only have to look at Lego's progress for evidence of that ::)
Haha signature go brr.

The skirt itself looks okay, but the form it's attached to...does it even have a rib cage? It looks like a telephone pole, in a way.

But, then again, just working on fabric and clothing and how all that works is hard enough without trying to throw in anatomy, so it doesn't really matter. The folds towards the belt look all right, but the ones above it could probably be simplified.

From here, it's time to do it over and over until it looks how you want it to.

The animation turned out pretty well! And yeah, go with Movie Maker for now - I really believe in roughing it a little before you hunt after some fancy software to improve your drawing.

It`d be nice to see other hairstyles or some with different shading too. Like the latest drawing on the skirt - but I have nothing helpful to critique there.

I am working on my first drawing that features shading ;D

I need to get out of my comfort zone with my drawings.

I am currantly working an drawing for ecchi world that really pushed me out of my comfort zone. And man it looks good!

The drawing is pretty tame so I think I can upload it here too :D

Haha, eeyup. I'd recognize that Nozomu Tamaki style anywhere. Always got a soft finish somehow, and you captured it well. I commend you for doing it without overlayering and tracing. A word of advice that may help you next time is to draw it facing the opposite direction, as in, the reference picture facing right and you draw it the same, except facing left. It challenges the brain more and helps you learn the shapes that go into it more.
Haha signature go brr.
