Making a fresher look out
« on: April 26, 2017, 03:18:06 PM »
To be blunt, I think the forum looks kinda old and so I thought I should step in and let the mods know,
Is there a possibility to change the site's lookout or perhaps reflect over it [size=78%].

Dunno if anyone else would want to change the layouts?

Perhaps a little change could help on growing the community too.(know what I mean?)

There are plans in the works, but it's not a simple plug and play situation. Tests need to be run for drastic changes, or we could dig ourselves a very deep hole.

Although saying the place looks "kinda old" isn't productive at all. Perhaps you could explain what you exactly mean, and maybe throw out suggestions you may have.

Will review stories upon request. My latest arc: http://goo.gl/KYgsfF

Ah, sorry about that it's just my style of writing, didn't mean old in a bad way just need to be a bit refreshed.

Maybe the community's artists could compete in a "Mangaraiders banner making" contest or hold various artistic contests for a various period of time for example.

Coryn writes a story
Grimmjagger wites a story

and with a poll, the winner is picked and recieve a trophy or whatever.
I had another Idea but I'd rather PM it.

There have been contests for banners, mascot creation, and others in the past... Though I'm not sure that any contests are currently active?

Those are always welcome to be revived. Anyone who's willing can do so. I'm sure Hasith would be glad to see a new set of banners in the rotation.

It would need someone who's constantly able to handle the competions, and maybe annoncements?

I'll take up the Short story competiton, if that's alright?

For writers, I believe most of the contests have been held in the "Manga Writer Workshop" department. :hmm:

For Artist, I've had "The Friendly Artists Contest" in the "Manga Artists Battle Ground" board at the "Collaboration (Art Exchange)" department.

Hope this helps.

Vacant and others held a few contests at Manga Writer Workshop in the past, so if you're planning to hold a short story competition I don't see why not. :hmm:

If you want, PM Hasith to double check. I've done the same thing when I wanted to hold a competition in the past.
