Mr. Stan's (lame) artwork corner
« on: April 14, 2017, 03:34:50 AM »
Alright!

Just gonna throw in here a more "decent" but very simple looking version of the main character of my manga (which...ahem...you can go give it a little peak at the Manga Creations board if you want to http://forums.mangaraiders.com/index.php/topic,17777.0.html).

I did the drawing by hand (as this wasn't obvious enough  :glare:), 'cause I don't have one of those digital drawing tablets and I'm too broke to buy one.

Feel free to leave your thoughts and critique about this drawing, would love to hear it (even the negative ones).

Mr. Stan's out.

Pretty cool sword, and that outfit reminds of power rangers suits for some reason.

The knee perspective needs some work, so make sure to reference next time

Canvas is important when framing a picture so you should be sure to crop the image in a way that doesn't make the character look squished out. Also, rotating the image correctly makes it easier on all to focus on the drawing *neck pains from seeing picture at 90° angle* keep at it

Thank you for your feedback legomaestro, appreciate it!

But a few specifications:
- It's not a sword, but a jitte  :D

-And the position was intended to be this way, because he actually keeps his balance on his jitte while delivering a kick.

I like the pose. Very dynamic. If you want people to check your thread in the manga board you can post a link to it while you are at it. Make it easier for people to find your stuff.  ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback mate! I thought I wasn't allowed to advertise by posting links to some other of my threads until I reached a certain amount of posts.

I believe the rule is that inside-site linking is fine, but external linking to say, deviantArt or Pixiv is held off on until...twenty-five posts? In any case you're almost there.
Haha signature go brr.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes it so much more easier.  :D
