Prison School Manga

Prison School is an all time favorite for me. I really enjoy the "plot" plus i have almost every figure there is out there. Mostly, Meiko Shiraki. Mari gets no love.

I just thought i should start a conversation about the manga. I stopped reading it for a bit until i remembered it's been a month.

I haven't caugh up since the need to swap underwear in a cardboard tank, and that's sounds weird to even type out. I love how this whole comic is about the same level of lewd humor as Animal House or Porky's, but everything is played out with an absolutely serious face.

Prison School ranks high on the list of "Anime/Manga/Games I highly recommend, but never in public."

Not really into ecchi things in general, but I have a lot of time for Prison School, even if I haven't really kept up with the manga.  Didn't think it worked as well in anime form, but in a way, I thought they stuck too closely to the manga - it was so similar that, having already read the manga, it just felt a bit unnecessary.

Saying that, if they make a second season, I'll make good on my threats to paint Meiko.

Mitsuko is looking cuter every time I see her. Her design grew on me. Risa is starting to look normal too. I'm glad that Gakuto is having these types of girl troubles. Boy, the choices in life.

Alright... You guys got me... This manga is actually really amazing.

It really changed the way I view ecchi and harem. A good story with a plot that constantly raises the stakes and lovable characters that are easy to root for. I never thought I could enjoy a manga of this genre. 170 chapters in and don't regret reading a single one.

Only a hundred more to go... Judging by the way this story is going so far, it's gonna be one hell of a ride.

Jesus Christ, that ending was disappointing!

So many loose ends...

So much unneeded filler...

And that plot twist just felt wrong at the end. I mean it's sort of reasonable in a sense, but if there's no sequel to this series then I'm not down with it.

Man this Manga was so good when it started, too. I guess I know how a devoted bleach fan feels now.

That epilouge chapter better wrap up this series nicely, cause of right now it's a total wtf mess.

Right? Pretty abrupt ending, and it's a shame considering how far off the rails the story had been going for the last year or so. I've also got my fingers crossed for that epilogue chapter, but I think we're all too bummed out to be hopeful at this point.

To be honest, as much as I still love this Manga and so badly want to recommend you to finish it, I would be lying if I said the eventual end result will be worth it.

I'm trying my best to be positive so I'll put it like this: If you're the type who gets really invested in specific character relationships that the author cleverly develops throughout the story, only to drop the ball on them later, I would say stay away from Prison School. But if you're the type who's willing to stick around to enjoy the journey and care less for the destination, then go for it.

Cause in my personal opinion, I may have not liked where Prison School ended up, but I sure as hell enjoyed the journey getting there.
