Cleaning out topics from a board
« on: July 13, 2016, 02:49:26 AM »
I was going through the Artists Wanted board and I noticed that we have 19 pages of topics that are locked (obviously because they are old).  I was thinking that instead of having all these topics just sit there we could add a child board for each board named "Locked topics"

This could just be used for having less pages on the boards because I know you guys don't like to delete topics too often

That would just increase the work load for everyone. Plus those locked topic get buried and nobody going to look at beyond 4th or 5t pages in board index. I think we might add new rule there like"  threads which haven't active for a week or 2 weeks will be locked".

Sorry but I don't want to look arrogant or anything, but it seems that one topic on the Artist wanted thread I made was closed without any explanation and it would be great if I could have one plz.

I'll assume you are referring to the topic you posted,  [Free] Manga Artist needed

With the content

I am actually writing a manga on another forum
and on the original mangas sections there are either D-age Slayers or Circle Gods (any of your preference )

It won't be paid but we can go big and be paid eventually so yeah, tell me if you are interested!

Quote
If you are looking for a Manga Artist or someone who draw comics to work together or get done a paid work, post your request here.

Read below before you make your thread.

01. Please write a informative title. Describe the person/s you want (Artist or writer).

02. Mention at the start whether is this is a paid work or a free collaboration request.

03. Make a good description about the project.

04. Post info about your previous projects if you have any also about your experience.

05. DON'T post Links or Email addresses.

06. Do Not post Any kind of links here.

Your post does not mention immediately whether the project is paid or not, it does not describe the details of so mentioned stories nor share any additional information.

Because of the direct links the original posts were blocked, but the request still does not meet forum standards.

Unless those issues are resolved, the topic will remain locked.

Wait I didn't even know I had another topic...

But I was referring to the one on page 1, the explanation is likely the same anyway. Well thanks I'll try fixing it up.

PS: Does that mean I have to create a new topic or just edit it?

Locked meant you can add new replies to that topic. But you can edit your posts already there.

If this gets added to any board other than artists wanted i think it would be a disaster

Its only for those artist/writer request boards. Doing it for other boards is not practical. We even let others to dig up long forgotten topics as long as member can add a helpful input.

Sorry for the second time, but I can't seem to edit the post on my topic for some reason, might be due to the fact that I haven't posted often.

You need 25 posts to be allowed to have your request unlocked. It's a new rule in place to avoid posting and running on the forum.

Oh no, you can keep it locked anyway, even if I were to achieve 25 posts. Since I cannot meet the promises I made back then. Anyway thanks for the heads up.
