OGHM's Wacky Slappy Guitar Riffs
« on: July 07, 2016, 01:58:53 AM »
Figured I should go ahead and share some guitar riffs I make in my spare time  :clapping: I don't think anyone here knows I play guitar.

Poison Me! A groovy kind of riff.

Lady Irene. Mellow and clean. Some interesting chords in there, and heavy reliance on the 6th for resolutions, making it sound even sweeter.

Made It Up! Because I made it up  8) There's really not much too this one, I was just jamming.

And this is Bouree in E Minor, by Sebastian Bach. There's also a little bit of Austurias in the end, a Spanish Classical guitar piece

Really nice and well-recorded. I can't guitar at all so this is amazing to me, although I'm sure someone with an ear for it might be able to help you with a little more, but in the meantime I'll just be that idle comment of "wow, sounds great, man!"

Op13, yes I have. I actually recorded one for Anzu...and then subsequently lost it.  :ninja: It was a pain in the butt to record too, so I haven't had the energy to do it over again.

Thanks Milk! Even the idle comment is appreciated!

Well, I'll probably make my neighbors mad if I re-record it right now, but I can lower the pitch like so

You... lost it?

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! I DEMAND YOU RE-RECORD IT IMMEDIATELY!  :read: THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!  :push:

Nah, you don't have to, but it would be nice if you did  ;)

I could just be lazy and make Lady Irene Anzu's song. Not like it's tied to anything already  :hmm: They were similar in structure anyway

Oh my god the lowered pitch version of Made It Up is a thing of pure beauty. And here I thought it was awesome before. Good call, Jack.

Wew I finally recorded myself playing to some of my favorite songs. If you hear me stop playing in the middle of the song, it's because I was adjusting the volume. The song was blaring and I couldn't hear myself

Back Off Evil, a pretty heavy song released in 1975
http://chirb.it/anBqyA

Being In Town, 1970(?) by Fresh Blueberry Pancake. Jazzy song that I had to learn by ear, before I was familiar with jazz chords, and there was tabs anywhere for  :ninja: For any other guitar players out there, the main part is Ab, G13, C7, Cm6.
http://chirb.it/xDJp9J

And there are a few more I did, but I'll share those later  :sure:

@NO1SY yeah I might have some. How long have you been drumming? That will influence whether or not I send you a curve ball or not

Well... I've played since I was 13... so 10 years now... but some of that time I couldn't practice.

I'm happy with polyrhythms and odd time signatures though. Anything really!

I'm still working on one of my harder ones, but I revised one of my other ones recently

This should be a pretty groovy track to drum on

Nice! This is a decent rock track and I'm better at playing at speeds around this than faster stuff.

Is there a download link somewhere???
