Punk with Mom? Pretty cool.

I like punk music but my knowledge is not the best. I'd say I've only listened to under 10 punks bands so far. For my music I want to take all my favourite stuff and smash it together. If I could project my voice better I think the song would be better...but if it's punkish it's alright if I sing out of key! Right? RIGHT!??!

Yeah. She was a punk rocker back in the 80s. My first album for christmas was Holy Wood by Marilyn Manson when I was a kid. She listened to it as much as I did.

I thought that's the point of punk. What you lack in skill you make up with energy and attitude.
Health is a relative thing.

My last song wasn't what I wanted it to be. So today I came up with this, wrote and recorded it in maybe 3 hours. It's just a lo-fi mess, just as I wanted it to be. Here is "White Bread".
https://soundcloud.com/deepspacenoise/white-bread

While the other two songs where lightly tapping into punk I decided to go all the way with this song. But I'm not a punk so I was like...I'll sing about how lame I am. Going for a Misfits vibe instrumentally, I was think of "Astro Zombies" when I made this. I amped the audio up to distort it as I couldn't get the guitar tone I wanted. It wasn't fuzzy enough. The drum intro was a nightmare, I didn't know which beat to come in on. This song is just meant to be a mess.

The benefit of being a one man band is I can make the songs whenever I want.

I love the new one. Living proof that punk's not dead. Man, almost makes me wanna write my own lyrics and see if we can't do a little something. My vocals aren't exactly magnificent, and I don't really play anything (outside of ocarina, although as we've discussed I don't count time nor do I know how to keep tempo), but I do love to write poetry, which, in a way, is what music lyrics are.

This song is just meant to be a mess.

Just looking at the waveform made me want to buy you a better mic. Liked it, though I'm honestly not sure what most of the lyrics were.

Oh boy here we go again! This song took no time but it was fun man. You know by now, all instruments and stuff by me! Listen to this one with headphones for the best experience!

Here is "Bottom Of The Food Chain".

Dude please tell me you take part in the Poetry areas of this forum! White bread is genius!

Also it's definitely one of the best songs I've heard from you. The solo section was ace. Just wish the songs were a little longer!

Bottom of the Food Chain is also super tight! Well done! Was that all one take for each part?

The drums are super impressive! Can't tell me you're bad at them anymore! Disappointing lack of Cowbell however...

Thanks for listening!

Ya "White Bread" was a lot of fun. I do think I could add another 2 verse though, because as you said the run times for both are about a minute too short. I'd like to maybe redo it to get a stronger guitar tone. Since it's super bassy it blends in too much with the bassline which is played with the same distortion.

Ha ha, pretty much everything but the drums where first takes. The drums are a bit hard but I feel I have already improved by just playing for record like this. Well there where two cowbell hits on "Food Chain"...so that'll have to do for now. I don't like my vocal track on that one though. I was just shouting, but not at full power. It also has a lot to do with the mic. It records the instruments alright but gives my voice a...thin quality.

I feel as if you are the one who started expanding the music section into Raiders sharing some of their stuff. I'm just gonna say here I may have only just gotten my stuff up, but you're the one who gave me the idea to share. Keep 'em comin in, man.

Nah, Paipis was first. He posted a song a few months ago. Since he posted that I wanted to post something as well and I finally got to thinking a few weeks ago that I should just go for and make full on songs since I have the means to do so. But it's nice to see some people posting their stuff. The music section is often pretty quiet!

I wanted to share my stuff because I feel it will help me a lot. When I do things for no one I don't have as much motivation. But when I do something knowing people might listen it's more exciting!

I played a random drum track and was like "let's see what happens". All of my sticks are broken so I have to use the butt ends. This means I can't really jam on the ride very well.

Here is the instrumental "Theme For 2000 & 1 Cowboys".

Nice. I can hear how using the butt end of the sticks is a bit of an issue, but you still seem to be doing pretty well. How do you come up with all these titles? lmao

The butt end is great for the snare but sounds very weak tapping on the cymbal. I gotta get new sticks...and try not to break them so quickly next time.

Well...I was like. It sounds like a cowboy. Lots of cowboys.

New song "Pizza Topping". Bad vocals on this one but it was a mess of a track to record over...too many chords. I want to make something not boring but it's still just power chord stuff, so I feel the need to play all over. I want to make actual good music but this is the only thing I can do for right now...
