nice one.
i assume the pointy fingers are deliberate for that character, otherwise yeah dont make them so pointy :P
thats a nice facial expression, and nice shading overall :P
nice logo, haha,  but it would be nice to see a little more detail on the clothes, other than folds, you can add stuff like pockets or seams around the neck and cuffs. and laces etc on the shoes. you can start as simple as you like and add as much detail as is comfortable :P

Yeah, the logo started out as an attempt to make more variety in the clothes my characters wore, but I never really got too much into drawing stuff like shoe laces or seams. Anywhere you would recommend for me to look for how to do that?

hmmmm i havent done much clothing reference myself properly, but generally i use manga as a basic reference, because it is already simplified lines its easier to copy. but really you want to be using real life reference. you can just google-image "t-shirt and jeans" and get a ton of reference for whatever clothing set you want.
for starters, you can draw fainter lines around the cuffs, neck and waist of the clothes where they end to give a band which breaks the clothing up.
im not too keen on using my own art as a reference, but the sleeves in this give a basic example of what i mean. you can also follow seam lines on the shoulders or wherever they are on your clothes, like on jean pockets etc.
Spoiler
as for shoes, you can copy your own or google that again. hope that helped :P

Yeah, I think that helped. I'll see if I can find some reference pictures online, and maybe I'll have a drawing with a bit more detail in it next time I post here.

Like the outfits there. Really reminiscent of a friends' artwork.

What's the name of your comic? What's it about?

Keep at it man. And by the way, ever tried out MsPaint? It can be pretty fun for coloured work!

The comic's name was "Heroes United." It was about three high school students becoming part of a super-hero team in order to pull up their grades so they don't fail. These two characters are Justin Walker and Katherine Roberts and join the team. I only made three issues worth of storyboards and only had time to make the art for the first one.

I tried MsPaint once, but that was before I had my tablet. I think I'll give it another try, just to see how big a difference a tablet makes.

Making actual storyboards is still worth something! Keep on with that path. Especially for manga making it's really important.

A super hero team to pull up their grades? How would that work exactly haha. Were they like hoping that fighting bad guys would make them  better in class or do they recieve credit points for their works?

Yeah, tablets are real fun when you get them. I can't wait to return to using one. I was just so scared at how little I knew how to draw on actual paper that I've been on a years long haitus from using them

From what I remember, the idea was they had to complete a certain number of hours of "community service" for every point their grade was raised. It just so happened that the community service was fighting crime.

I get my writing influence from a lot of anime that I've watched in junior high and high school, most notably One Piece, Fate/Zero, and Hunter X Hunter.

My art, I really don't know. I've watched and read so much anime and manga that I really have no clue where my idea of how to draw a person came from. I just draw what I draw, really.

For what it's worth, you seem to have a good idea of the basic form of things, as in, you get the basic shapes of things down. That's excellent for a beginner. I'm sure if you keep practicing some other things like hands that this work will come together rather quickly.
Haha signature go brr.

Nice one! Pretty decent poses and expressions, so,ething i find hard to do myself :P
I agree with mahluaandmilk, since you seem to have the basics down, you probably want to study a bit of anatomy to get the hands looking a bit more realistic :P

Here's a character from a story I'm currently working on.

I wanted to experiment with the black-and-white/greyscale format that I see in actual manga with the top two sketches, and I'm satisfied with my first attempt.
