Man #1: Sorry, but I'm...?      (I'm not sure what the man was trying to say here)

Great to see other pages lego. I see the storyboards are going well. There is also a nice sense of space.

Was meant to be something cocky but I'll likely need to change it to make that a little more obvious.

Anyway, a few more additions:

Deathless Page 5 Script
Script in progress but to sum up:

A short time later two men are inspecting the scene. The one with glasses is Zhang, the long haired one behind him is Varr. They were tracking (Man #1) and his signal went cold when he was attacked. They are discussing the scene and informing a man named Quinn about it. Varr complains that Quinn is going to be p*ssed.

Hawthorne
Currently under the name Det. Hawthorne although this may change. He comes across Immortals in the story 'Deathless' and begins a one man hunt to discover the truth behind them.

i noticed you dont put many spaces between the panels (mostly none at all), is that deliberate?
either way, remember that the spaces inbetween the panels can control the feel of the timing, so make sure to use that to the full effect.

Spoiler

nice face , but make sure you keep the face symmetrical, especially around the eyes, since thats where most people will look first. unless of course the character is meant to look like that :P

i love the insane amount of detail on the background panel with the buildings, contrasting with the sketchy rest of the page :P

I realized that before I began the last page I posted up so I'm aiming to start adding spaces. First storyboard so still learning a few things as I go. Thanks for the feedback though.

Yeah these are all early sketches, I don't intend to draw this manga myself as I suck at drawing so I'm really just using the sketches as rough references for when I've written enough and drawn enough storyboard to start looking for an artist ;) He should be symmetrical but my hand isn't the steadiest.

The background panel was a digital prefab, I just threw it in their as it suited what I was hoping to draw. Consider it a placeholder ;)

Rough sketch of the masked men. Lot of obvious mistakes here, particularly in the second one. I swapped out the original idea of a bandanna for a beanie.

yeah you learn a lot very quickly. you will soon get into your own style :P

practice :P

i figured as much. if you can get your sketches as close as possible to what you want, your artist will be either happy because he doesnt have to think, or annoyed, because he wants to be original :P

nice character sketches, a beanie will hug the shape of the persons head (plus a bit for the hair), so make sure you know what shape head they have first, try drawing them bald and you soon realize any proportional errors. hat or no hat, i recommend doing that anyway for practice :P

Can anyone give an opinion on the body proportions on this unfinished sketch? Trying to do more full body sketches and poses on Manga Studio. Just wanting opinions on the proportions, detailing hasn't been done and I'll be fixing the hair, face, hands, everything up.

The arms and shoulders seem quite good. The legs seem a bit long to me. Generally the legs are about the same length as the distance between waist and top of the head

Thanks for the input Walter. In the meantime...

Zhang and Varr

Zhang and Varr are two immortals who make an early appearance in Deathless Chapter 1. While often working together they couldn't be more different in personality. Nonetheless, they trust each other above anyone else, even their friend Drake.

Are they inspecting the scene forensically or do they have some sort of magic to do that?

Zhang and Varr look like such different character its a wonder how they are friends haha. But maybe their personalities make a good foil for eachother

The baton had a tracker inside it. They work as operatives for a Society of Immortals and the captured man was one of their fellow operatives. The scene they inspect is just the last place the tracker was working.

Hopefully you'll see how their matchup works with time. :P

Ellie
Early draft of Ellie, one of two siblings who is thrown into the world of Immortals in Deathless. Thinking of changing the hair a bit as it feels very plain.
