@mahlua Yeah thats close to what I was getting at. it would be great to see a bit more shade, and shade variety, like strong blacks and greys. I too have had a really tiny tablet but have since moved on twice :P some light studies would be good.

@walter taking that into account as well, maybe you are not zooming in enough for the details, and treating the canvas as a traditional piece of paper in that you dont zoom in for the details, especially if you have a smaller tablet. I do this too but my tablet is larger so I can get away with it lol. the trouble is, that for faces you are probably only using a small area of your tablet, like 1cm square or less, rather than using the whole lot, which will give you more control.
while zoomed out characters do have less detail (such as losing details on the face/hair etc), its still best to draw them as accurately as you can, but leaving out the details that you dont want.
I personally use an A3 canvas (4000px x 3000px roughly I think), but A4 is plenty to be honest.

Thank for the feedback guys. I really appreciate detailed feedback like that. I have been meaning to improve the shading for a while. I may look at some tutorials. And zooming in on the faces to improve the detail is a good idea!!

Suupertramp has been added to my newest artist spotlight!:

And this is my most recent "Human Potential is limitless" series:

wow! thanks so much for the tribute art and the spotlight! I appreciate it :)

true our potential is limitless, I always tell myself that regarding art!

tutorials for art is a cool idea, but sometimes your own observations can mean a lot too, so a nice mix is always what i suggest. dont try and learn too much in one go, as you will probably forget it after a while. better to learn one solid concept that you can use constantly to get it stuck in your head then go on to the next. at least if your memory is as bad as mine :)

Sasuke first learning Chidori was so epic at the time. It's a shame how I feel about him now (He did redeem himself on like the last chapter) but he was a great character. Also ninja tools! They were so much more useful back then.

Props on the imagery and colouring Walter!

Thanks Lego!

Yeah Ninja tools were useful before Naruto became "Giant Monsters hurling massive energy balls at each other"

I like this bird in the photo

Could you draw me a demon bird looking like a parrot and its beak as a pterodactyl also wings, he should be blue make the beak purple

I'm planning to put this on my manga thing for my character

Heres a picture of a parrot to show you what I mean

hiding who's going to coach me now?
