Thanks! Yeah I need to get better at musculature

This is a character for the mangaraiders tournament. His name is Tristan. His devilish tail is very hard and fast. He can pierce people's hearts and cut off their heads with it:

looks neat, but i think you could have pushed the silhouette a little more. Bigger horns, more dramatic proportions etc. Still, good job :)

That's a really cool design! I like your shading style. Also, I agree with The SlamJam there, it'd be really cool with more exaggerated proportions! Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see more.

Hey guys I have a question what is a good size for art?

On one hand you can make a pic seem more detailed by making it smaller but on the other hand there is something about bigger art that kind of impacts more. This is original size for the devil guy I posted earlier. Is it better or worse?

if the image is too small we cant see the details clearly.

and as you yourself said, it only makes the picture SEEM more detailed. its better to produce larger pictures, the original size for your drawing is fine. even larger would still be fine.

we can help you improve better if we can see your work :P

although in the most general sense, a good size for art depends on its use. ie a stamp vs a 2m x 2m poster.

Walter,

Nice drawings.

The second one - hum - just watch where the sword is coming from... It looks like a huge... I am glad you drew the shape of the sword so well so we can tell it is not that.

Keep in mind Swords can be a really cool thing to draw, and you can vary them in shape and make very artistic handles. I always google search for images to use as a reference for props, and I recommend you do the same. Props sometimes are just as important as the characters.

Thanks! I actually used a berserk reference for the pic but the sword came out way too big. Didn't realize where it was coming from haha
