I love the chibi characters!!!
The way you coloured their eyes is really nice.
I like your lineart style, and great shading on the faces :)

These are really cool. I can tell that you've spent a lot of time on each one. Keep doing it :)

Hmm, how long I've been arting... it's kind of a hard question to pinpoint cuz while I usually chalk it up to "my entire life", that's kind of an exaggeration. As a young child, I had an 'above average' interest in art, I decided after my first exposure to manga at 6th grade that I wanted to be someone who can draw manga and stuff so I spent a lot of my time in class drawing instead of listening (don't do this lol). My most consistent art years that I recall were in HS years where I drew still drew in class constantly. I may have taken at maximum a few months or up to half a year break during my HS career, but that was it (I think). During my college years, I did draw semi-often but I've taken several years worth of breaks from the start of college until now where I've graduated for a while now.

So I guess the best answer is... I've dedicated quiiiite a few, hard years of art and slowly improving my skills but I wouldn't say "my entire life" since I've had countless inconsistency with breaks for whatever reason.

I totally did that lol

I didn't properly start trying to improve until college, at school I mostly doodled and drew manga faces.

Because drawing is something we often do as children, it's hard to draw the exact line between drawing as a child or in school, and deliberately drawing manga etc, drawing to get better at art.

Lol yeah! All the lines tend to get blurred unless you notice consistent effort on working to improve!

This division is so I don't make another post right after another. I'll lump this with my finished personal work!

Read LEFT TO RIGHT, WESTERN style:

This took about 2 full days to do... I need to stick with simpler sketches.

But yes, about this piece, these are just my OCs interacting. Yaowei is the one with long hair, Yoruya is the one in the apron and the other three laughing are supporting characters that aren't very vital in this strip. The prompt was cooking ability and this idea stuck with me. I should've made it black and white to cut time, but oh well, maybe next time.

haha great joke and that character looks so uncomfortable in the apron!
The second panel down was my favourite panel.
great frills on the apron too.

Haha well I think it's nice to put a lot of effort into something, so colour is better than black and white but yes it does take more time haha.
I'm the exact opposite, everything I do is too quick and I need to spend more time finishing my sketches XD
