i agree, not much time at all.
although i draw on my samsung tablet (so not a pc graphics tablet), you do get used to it surprisingly fast as long as you use it for a fair amount of time. an hour a day and you should be used to it in a week. of course, being used to a graphics tablet does not mean that you can do good digital work. you have to be used to the program you are using as well, which probably takes more time depending on what tutorials you follow and what experience you have already with the program.
if you want to draw well, i dont think traditional or digital is better for learning. yes digital can remove mistakes etc better, but it may not be worth the initial cost if you are not a confident drawer already. but you will get better if you practice with either :P
your tablet stuff is as good as your traditional stuff?
if your traditional skills are not very good then probably dont expect to be better skill wise with digital. thats my opinion though, i dare say there would be some who would disagree wholeheartedly :P
