Good question. I'm going to say it may be best to stick to prose, since you wouldn't get the same mileage between the two in terms of word count. That said, I'll wait to see what the other judges think. Guys....a little help? :P

Go ahead and tamper! Canonical accuracy is pretty sketchy when it comes to holiday events anyways, since so many people often write them, it'd be impossible to sync them up. So generally they just fall under the banner of "Alt. Universe".

Yeah sorry it's taken so long to reply. Absolutely you can tamper away. I think it's easier that way for the people writing especially if they're relatively new and may not be familiar with much of the pre-established canon
