Seven Deadly Sins looks like it's basically winding down for the end now, I mean it's just loose ends to tie up now I think?
Yeah Black Clover is awesome like that.
I think all it takes is care on the writers part to handle the rise and fall of the plot/epicness without keep on building up each time. Someone mentioned it a while ago but I forget the technical term but like where your MCs keep powering up way way much so you have to make the battles so ridiculously intense it starts to lose meaning (Dragon Ball I'm looking at you!). Having your characters make progress but keeping the scale smaller means that you have more control over the story as it stays within normal bounds for much longer.
Not that you can't have supidly overpowered moments or characters :P

So, maybe I'm just playing devils advocate here, but I'm really of the opinion that Black Clover moves too fast. Every time a fight or an arc happens it's over before I can really get invested in it. And it doesn't help that fights almost always end with the bad guy dying if it's a male, or falling in love with Asta for no good reason if it's a female. Keeping in mind of course, that Asta is an annoying 15 year old whose only volume level is "screech". For gods sake he looks like a tall version of one of those renaissance painting babies that has adult proportions and is weirdly buff. He's got a personality as deep as a saucer to boot as well, so either the writer is just fulfilling some sort of fantasy he had as a teenager, or he lives in a world where sexy women throw themselves at you just by virtue of being from the opposite sex.

Maybe I'm venting some pent up Black Clover frustrations. What of it?!

Nani!? What in Haruhis' name are you talking about. Asta doesn't even remotely care about the other ladies, and Captain Yami almost feels more like a protagonist than him. If anything Yuno is the perfect all rounder-Su chikuso!  Also how can you deny a martial artist learning to be better at wrecking stuff by being buff? Don't tell me only 15 year old bijishoujous get to have the lady. Also as one dimensional as Asta is he has a one true love and never treats any of the girls wrong darnit

Asta being completely wholesome because of his one love is cute, but it is annoying that everyone seems to fall for him. That being said, it seems that in the magic world, everyone is pretty nasty, especially those with power, so it's probably refreshing to have someone so pure in comparison.

The pace is perhaps a little too fast but I can't say I noticed until you mentioned it. I don't like arcs dragging out so I think I prefer it anyway.

I haven't seen the anime yet but I can imagine he shouts the whole time which would also be a bit annoying.

Yeah I was actually all for the time-skip but now I'm seeing what's happening and I'm like Oh come ooon! If this gravity dude gets defeated then it better be something more than talk-no-jutsu or else I'm deducting points.

Also lel that wipe-out at the castle was legendary. Damn son.
