He is a slopoke for sure. 10% at least.

You know, Black Clover and My Hero Academia just make me so happy to read. I'm glad that shounen can go with the same troupes and still be so damn fun and interesting in their own ways. Liked the latest chapter. Looking forward to this bout!

yeah. makes me feel confident that by the time i get good enough to draw manga, there will still be something to write about, because people will still be into the same genres no matter how old they get :P

True, true.

Loved that latest chapter. Though it was pretty basic that flashback hints at something else, and Aster's defeat and help this time around seem so logical! Usually it's willpower that makes them take on huge attacks and the like, but his swords are literally made to defend against magic. He just couldn't deal with the physical damage aspect of magic.

Makes me wonder how far up he'd rank for 'cancelling abilities' abilities. Going to make a topic on that one haha

indeed. probably a similar level to touma's imagine breaker in to aru majutsu no index. although he can cancel magic, if the magic produces an effect, he cant cancel that, like if it was magical boulders he could block it, but if magic made normal boulders drop, hes in trouble. also he has to be pointing the right way to block it, so sneak attacks also work against him.

I also like the point that he has no power (in some sort of way), but I also worry about how they will keep the story going.  As will the story become about destroying the enemy or be a battle against brothers to see who can prove the best results.  I just hope it doesn't turn out to be like Naruto's ending xD

Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here waiting for the next chapter with my thumb up my bum.  :ninja:

But seriously, I'm anxiously waiting to see this Beast Guy get the snot beat out of him! He's been pulling at my emotion strings and I don't like it.

This series sparks a flame in me that I haven't got reading manga in a while (other than One Piece). It kinda fills the hole Naruto left me with when it ended too, so that's a huge bonus.

Er... I wouldn't use that expression to express how much I'm looking forward to the next chapter, but definitely. It really feels great that way. I see so many Naruto references and I don't mind it at all. When I think back it's done a great job covering arcs till this moment, and this doesn't even quite feel like a major arc yet.

Wanna bet a timeskip is going to happen? If it does, everyone will look way too epic. Looking forward to that.

A timeskip would indeed be cool. I can only imagine how Aster and Juno would look in 2 years or so.

As for this latest chapter, I love the theme behind the Black Bulls. A place where rejects and outcasts can go and surpass their limits to prove all of their naysayers wrong. It's pretty inspiring honestly.

I feel like Aster has that Luffy effect where he can befriend and inspire pretty much anyone, as long they're sane anyway. Really looking forward to bigger arcs, this series has some amazing fight scenes so far.

As long as they're sane haha. I do like that the inspiration is literally a case of 'This person is worse off than me but handles themselves well.' It's not them beating down on themselves or putting their inspiration on a pedestal. A touch of realism to their motivation methinks haha.

So looking forward to that next chapter.

I forgot that Aster's swords absorb magic for a second there, so the moment Vett was impaled the outcome was set in stone. Aster's grimoire obviously has some kind of demonic connection. Maybe Aster can become whatever Vett became, you know, with the 3 eyes and such.

Epic chapter though. I loved seeing Vett have a taste of his own medicine.

Haha, that is definitely a good reason. That was a great chapter! Looked like Yami entered Bleach territory at the end there haha.

So traumatized by shounen resurrecting characters that I wasn't sure if the death took or not. Now that it did you could see some real character from the people in the stories. A nice ending to the arc methinks.
