Workshop Requests
« on: April 01, 2009, 11:53:56 PM »

If you like to Add workshop about a character or something post it here. We see how to do it without putting too many workshops same time. But it won't hurt to have a wish list !

Image width shouldn't be longer than 600. Also Pick images with clear backgrounds for character workshops. Also Too much detailed costumes would make it hard. So find something withing these limits and it will have a go !

@ Co : All those 3 guys are ok but find a image with what I mentioned above. AND Don't post huge images nothing more than 700 px long ( I meant generally in forum )!

You know, I'd suggest that instead of having the workshop just be about copying an image, that it be a bit more creative. For example, post an image, then have the workshop be to draw the image, but make the character 10 years older. Or, say, post an image of Yoko from Gurren Laggan and have the workshop be redrawing her wearing another character's outfit, like for example, draw her dressed like Faye from Cowboy Bebop.

Comic/manga art is all about creativity, not just drawing what you see.

Just a suggestion :-)

@ Tim Wellman : Hmm an interesting idea but I think it will be too hard for starters here. Many of how do drawing workshops are trying to get their basic errors corrected so This would be way to advance for them. Still I can make a workshop about it so anyone who like to try it can go for it.

@ Saihawkeye : This character looks great but its way too complicated ! Edward Elric and Mecha drawing workshops are peanuts comparing to this. Well sure we ll do it after few more drawing workshops !

What about a workshop dedicated to honing character creativity and creation skills?

Character creation sounds really fun. Like give us a major theme or a background story with basic design concepts and then everyone else design a character with distinguishing features.
