I've probably already mentioned this before but man the way you detail fabric and materials gets me every time! The way you go about shading it always makes the material look REALLY good, on top of excellent coloring and just overall fantastic art. Keep up the absolutely amazing work!

New drawings are good as ever. Even...a giantess?

That one archer girl in red is really fantastic!

Merry Christmas, mate! :santa:

The choice of red lighting on Yoruichi is interesting, but I'm glad that it exists. My heart stands with Soi Fon--glory be to the Shihouin name! (And dat ass).

thank you! and belated happy new year!:)

and yea, it was supposed to be the sun setting and something's blocking it so it's not fully hitting her. I guess I wasn't too clever about that one.xD

some recent illustrations.:)

well, this was supposed to be my entry for CDC (character design challenge) for the month of December, but I broke a rule. I was bumping my post and apparently it wasn't allowed, so I was removed from the group. I wish they warned me first though. I honestly had no idea it was a rule, and a strict one at that. but it is what it is. that is their rule so I have to respect it.:)

I grew up watching Dragon Ball Z and it was definitely one of the few shows back then that got me into illustrating.
me and my brother always had a competition on which Frieza and Trunks (our own versions) look best.xD
anyway, here's my take on Trunks and this got me inspired to do Frieza (and possibly Buu) in my style as well.

well, I guess this now is just my first fan art for 2018.xD

a commission work for lordwolx of deviantart.:)

I need to be more clever on rendering the nose in this coloring style. I want that simple anime face to blend with semi-realism which I can't really achieve. I really need to experiment more with this.

Really like your work Rusinstein.

I think you could do with doing some proportion studies, focusing on width. In general, i think consistently you're drawing your bodies too wide relative to the head. With ideal proportions, the shoulders stick out 1/2 head out from the face, which is generally the widest bit. It might be intentional, but i feel like it's taking your work into the uncanny valley :)

Your soft style rendering is on point

thank you for the feedback! :)
I guess for me it depends on the character. and I was told I do torsos too thin before so I adjusted it.xD
I guess it's a case to case basis for me now. I am constantly making adjustments.:)

Oh man, if only I could get as good as you with light and shadow! The use of strong vs subtle glows is perfect. Can't wait to see more of your work! =)
I'm back~~~
