It took me a year to fully master my tablet. Back to OP, for vectors, I am actually comfortable using the mouse. For digital art, I can't live without my tablet.

I am using a 5yrs old Bamboo Fun pen & Touch. I am planning to upgrade into Cintiq but since my current tablet is still okay, I decided not to.

I wonder if the quality of the drawing will improve with better tablet. Well, in the end it comes to the skill of the artist.
