Sherlock
« on: February 27, 2015, 03:52:01 PM »
So there is a Sherlock manga.

And now I've seen everything!

Once again for the umpteenth time manga proves how flexible it is with adaptations. I'm really impressed that this happened haha.

Also Sherlock is simply legendary. I wish Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would've seen how far his work went.

i was looking into it and it seemed to be based of the tv series. not to say sherlock never appeared in manga before, because he has. he's just that iconic to use.

Stop playing victim....you know what you did.

Yeah there was a part of the story where the characters and a young Sir Arthur were invited to mansion and helped solve a sort of murder mystery and ended with the aspiring author being inspired to finish his works which later became the one and only Sherlock Holmes. It's one of the few things aside from the artwork that keeps me reading - what random supernatural slant will the writer throw on a piece of history next!?

But back to the show... Can't wait for Christmas time to come so that I can watch more

That manga is also surprisingly well done.

I think it's a bit "love or hate"… There are definitely moments… if not entire chapters that make me raise an eyebrow… but overall I'd say it's fairly interesting and a bit dark, which I like.

ever heard of the hercule poirot anime :P
thats really old but yeah gotta love manga/anime versions.
the main rule is to not be surprised by anything japan makes. it is, after all, japan :P
kuroshitsuji is ok but *mild spoiler*
Spoiler
they ruined the ending of the first series to make a second series which they blew the ending of that as well. in my humble opinion of course. theres lots of discussions about it i imagine :P
will have to add sherlock to my endless list of things to watch and read :P
