My mama and grandma usually love my artwork...
But they don't really understand why I love it so much.
At the drop of a hat, they'll ground me from watching and reading manga but they'll still allow me to draw for some odd reason.
They say that there's 'hidden messages' in the art that relates to stuff that I shouldn't watch (probably the perverted stuff is what freaks them out the most.)

If you're talking about perverted things in anime, there are plenty of them in cartoons these days. I picked up a bunch of sexual references just watching Chowder and Adventure Time.

I was even surprised that a character from the show Doug was named Patty Mayonnaise. My eyes just lit up when I thought about it. xD

my parants are always super supportive of everything i do if my mom see's a manga i might like she'll buy it for me,
my dad on the other hand is very old fashioned, if i try and talk about a manga with him it better have a story line about an awesome drill or amazing tools for him to take interest but he's always super nice.
Im hoping to get my sister on here, she is a manga fanatic and is drawing constantly she actually was the one who got me interested in this stuff again.
My boyfriend how ever has little to no interest, but he does the "im a good boyfriend" nod when i talk about that stuff with him :)
(i do the same nod when he talks about poke XD)

Some of you people are so lucky that your families support your manga dreams because I sure that mine never would but that doesn't stop me from writing them I tell you that. I'll keep writing until my hands weak and brittle and my mind is dry and burned out. In life you must ride this thing until the wheels fall off, so I going to stay grinding for my passion. Maybe one day my family will understand but for right now I keep it hidden so I can perfect it.

great to hear your passion but im pretty sure that when you do tell your folks they will understand and admire that passion, depending on your age they might welcome it right away or wish you would use this passion towards becoming  a doctor or nuclear ficasist:P but do what you love doing that is the most important thing :)
