I thought that he left sasuke alive cause his Mangekyou makes him blind so he needed a new pair of eyes???

*SPOILER ALERT* madara uchiha, the first uchiha, trained itachi personnaly and wiped out the entire uchiha clan. Only because of an order from Konoha's village elders, and also that the uchiha clan killed each other for thier eyes, to unlock mangekyo sharingan.

Itachi, orochimaru, and.....a lot more. couldn't you make it top 5 or 6 evil characters from naruto? It's really hard to decide.
