Post your anime figure collection!
« on: August 26, 2014, 12:53:15 PM »
I recently got back into collecting anime figures/statues. It's a nice hobby, but a damn expensive one.
So go ahead, share your figures!
(I'll post the small collection I have later today)

I'm basically just starting. Everything on the left was recently purchased. Only one super figure here ($100 + and I don't know her character, she's from some Visual Novel). My Tohka Yatogami is a knock off I got on eBay. I didn't know it was a knock off but judging by how many times the sword and arm broke and general quality, it's very clear. Got the Macross years ago. Never watched the anime but the robots are cool. Mine doesn't transform.

Nice collection Manimal! I too was scammed by a knock off Roronoa Zoro figure (Left). I paid good money for it, only to arrive home, open the box and find that the pieces barely fit together. The swords that go on his waist were also glued upside down, so I had to break them apart and stick them back up using super glue. Still, I really love this figure, possibly because it was my very first "quality" figure. It's still decent, even for a knockoff.
In the middle is my most precious possession right now. I paid a fortune just to get it (110 $). The camera really doesn't do it justice, you have to see it up close to appreciate it.
To the right is a Kyuubi Mode Naruto. His face looks really off, so I'm guessing he's a knockoff too, but whatever, I'm happy to have it in my collection.

Here are some up close pics:

^I have lots, and I mean LOTS of these DBZ mini figures. I just haven't gotten around to putting them in photo worthy fashion.

One of the new additions to my tiny figure collection is this beautiful K-On! 5th Anniversary Mugi.

A very nice, cool looking, piece. Her keytar is insanely detailed and the figure is nicely sculpted. Her outfit is nice and she has that classic Mugi puffed up cheeks expression. She has a base but no stand which I found interesting. Mugi was the only K-On 5th Anniversary figure available to me. Unfortunately she is the weakest of the line, the Azusa and Mio figures are heart stopping , but I get what I can take so this Mugi is good. I had a choice between a bikini clad catgirl Lucy Heartfilla, Rise (never played Persona) or a character from a show I like a ton. I made the right choice I think though that Lucy figure was tempting.

You have the Woody figure! I remember seeing a lot of funny pics with that figure next to other girl figures.

Damn, I forgot I started this topic.
These collections are awesome, thanks for sharing.
I recently started selling a lot of my figures because all they were doing was collecting dust, but then they came out with that Luffy (Gear 4th) figure and I had to order it :/

Another new edition is this cheap prize figure, Mio Akiyama, Death Devil Version. One of her more underrated outfits.

Decent figure, very high quality molding for it's price, the pose is a bit weird and doesn't look good at certain angles. But everything looks mostly good, though she could use a better expression, something feels a bit off. But she looks great from the back side view, it's the hair I think. This also came in less then two weeks after ordering which is pretty amazing.

I guess that face is to be expected with prize figures. I still don't really understand  what "prize figures" actually are. They are like claw machine prizes right? You'd think by now I would know. The body design does look good though.

Yes, prize figures have the holes on the side of the box for claw machines. It'd be rad to try one of those. Most of my figures are prize ones and they vary in quality. This Mio is the best one along with my Love Live Maki. She's a bit shorter as well.
