Both the works look really great! I'm sorry that I can't be more helpful with the pixel animation. In my experience though, you might've made the image a little too small, because even pixel art needs a high level of detail. It's pretty close to being real good, though. Maybe just some shading and distinction on the dragon's belly would do the trick.

Thank you. And it's supposed to be small, 100x50, due to it being a Deviant Art Group Icon.

There's still several areas that need work, but I'm letting my hand rest for now.

Ah, that makes a little more sense about the stretches of flat color.

Yeah, pixel work can be a little hard on the wrist when it comes to this level of detailing.
Haha signature go brr.

Well classes start in a week so I'm likely going to be going inactive again for a few months. I'm taking Printmaking 2 and Drawing 2. Drawing 2 is the infamous drawing naked people class so... Guess I'll improve that area.

Best of luck in your studies!

Maybe when you come back you can drop some knowledge on me for printmaking~ See you in a few months? Or maybe less if you stop by every so often.
I'm back~~~

Definitely interested!

The prints I'll be making are probably different though. I'm hoping to make all-over printed shirts of my own. I got inspired by artists like Redrop and Boomslank and wanted to try my hand at it. Proudly wear some designs of my own and see if they gain any popularity.

I'm hoping to get into Artist Alley at conventions as a hobby since I'm kinda bored with taking photos now.
I'm back~~~

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you might be thinking of digital prints while the prints techniques I'm learning about go back several hundred years where you carve the images by hand. (Which can be converted into a digital format and turned into digital prints like how you have Starry Night on coffee cups, but...)

OH! Yea, you're definitely right.

My mistake. xD

That's a whole other level of talent I would never be able to achieve. @_@

In either case, I'm looking forward to maybe seeing some of your stuff from class pop up here when you do something you're especially proud of. Your classwork from last semester all turned out so well, so I'm sure you'll continue to level up in your art skills.

I'm a "studio art" major so unfortunately we don't really touch digital illustration much. (That's "graphic design" people's area.)

Still though it just takes a little bit of know how, so you could probably do it. I just figured you were talking about the other thing.

Hopefully. If the art history class paper doesn't kill me first. There's a 30 page (minimum) research paper due by finals in addition to tests and stuff. (And there's 4 of these classes.) Plus I'm taking a math class.

In progress print proof. It's one of a 4 piece set that make a larger scene. Next up is some aquatinting I think. It's sorta like screentones but with spray paint and an acid bath.

Trying to apply some stuff I learned from my figure drawing class and experimenting with other stuff... What the heck is a style?
