The cheek line and ear are drawn incorrectly. The originally length of her hair from the side was down to her nose. But I wanted to try and draw an ear. So, I erased parts of her hair and "fix" her cheek line. The ear needs to be a lot bigger and raised higher.

At my artistic level, drawing the full head is a daunting task and dose not come out as neat. Instead, I focused on more up-close and pay attention to the facial details. I'm slowly zooming out and working on other facial features, such as the cheek line and ears  .

Sometimes you have to dive into the deep end Vio. The best way to improve in art is to just start doing it. Goes for heads, the other eye, full bodies, hands, and feet.

Out of curiosity do you use guide lines when making the head? To me it seems the sides of the head are out farther than they should be

Once again, I drew Demo, she's slowly get to my ideal image of her ^^. She's roughly about 42% complete  .

For something different, I tried to sketch and shade Misaka Mikoto from the To Aru Kagaku series. Hope you guys like it  .

Yeah, I'm starting learn how to use guide lines for the head. You're not wrong, her head is still not correctly shape.

Oh, I've only been practising the heads for roughly 2 weeks now. When I started everyone of my characters had block heads

Nobody's beginning guide line heads probably look as bad as mine did. Uh, which guide line "version" (there are so many different guide lines for heads) are you using?

I just keep botching up the cheek and chin line >.<.

here is the basic head shape I use (sorry for the crappy quality of the picture)
I put the eyes higher on the head though whenever I draw but every differs in style
