Develop Your Story / Re: Sanity Fair- A College Comedy and Drama

I dont read many comedies (says that yet favourite manga is a romance/ comedy), so I might miss something. Its a pretty good idea, for some reason im seeing it like GTO XD. Im looking forward to the first chapter

Thanks :) Do you mean GTO as in Great Teacher O-something something, because although I haven't read it, I know what it's about! And the first chapter will be up soon, I'm just doing a couple of checks to make sure it's all top-notch.

So...Saltmouth College is for eccentric undergraduates?! Is that where the comedy comes in?
Art as a career huh? Or for a skill?
Why is he called 'master' Bates?
(Asking avalanche sorry. Just want to clear my curiosities XD )

Aye, that's when the comedy kicks in! Art is something he didn't intend for a career but that's all he could salvage from his poor grades, so he's trying to make it into a career. The thing is, he's merely average at the skill so the story is like a progression on his art skill.
He is called Master Bates mostly by his teachers, but his friends call him that as a nickname (Due to it sounding like a naughty word) XD
And I love questions! Don't hesitate to put them out!!!

Good day to you Echo_River! Genres that appeal to me are Slice of Life and Adventure, but I do read most of the others at some point :) Writing on paper was what I used to do, until my pen exploded in my mouth one day -_- And yes I have questions!

1. Am I using this right? I don't go on these type of websites much :O

2. How do I show my works???

1. So far so good (?) Just post related posts in related threads haha XD.

2.Just type it out and post and we'll help from there.

(I forgot I was talking to a writer yeesh XD Sorry I'm not the best at explaining )

I managed to work it out XD I've done my first post in the develop story section, and I'll keep adding to it as I write more chapters, if you'd like you can take a look :) Thanks for the help!

You can keep going adding chapters to a topic, thats what ive been doing. I dont think the moderators mind about the post count seenas there are topics with over 100 pages of posts

Okay, I've done what you said. If you wouldn't mind giving it a look it's called Sanity Fair- A College Comedy and Drama. Thanks for the help :) I'll check out your stuff soon!

Richard Bates (commonly called Master Bates) is a self-absorbed student whose dream of getting into Whitehaven College is dashed when his grade results come back worse than expected. Now forced to go to Saltmouth College for undergraduates, he battles to keep his sanity amongst the other eccentric students and pursue a subject he is moderately good at... Art.

There are lots of ways to upload stuff. For me as soon as ive written the chapter (Microsoft word) I copy it and paste it into a reply, that normally works well for me. To start a topic for your own story, go into the writers section, develop my story, and click "new topic" choose a name and a little something about it, like a quick, short synopsis,  thenreply to it and follow my first bit, that way you will have started a story

Ah-ha, I see. Thank you Mr. Hikari, I shall attempt this immediately! You certainly sound like a person who knows what they're doing, I'll check out your stuff in the near future

Interesting... well if you feel like it head on over to the writers section and upload some stuff for us at any time, we'll be happy to review it and give advice. We have a lot of good writers here so feel free to check out some of their works as well.

Hikari my man, I'd love to upload some stuff and check out other people's work :) As soon as I figure out how to work this website XD

Hello there!

My name is Maxwell and I'm from England.

I found this website whilst trying to look for a manga artist, because I love writing stories and wish to see them on paper one day! I figured I could use this neat website somehow (still trying to figure how) :3

Favorite anime of mine would be Cowboy Bebop, and manga would be Azumanga Daioh :D

Writing is something I do full-time, art is something I'm less keen on due to hand cramps.

So yeah, can't wait to check this website out and see if I can help people, and people can help me :)

PEACE!!!
