Hi, and welcome to my gallery~ :3
You'll mostly see sketches, some background work, color experiments and line effects to be used in my manga.
I like a lot of different genres & styles, so some things may seem random.
Expect weirdness. XD

Anyhow, these are taken from a project I started a few months ago but missed the deadline. I rushed a lot, so I'm thinking of redoing everything.

1/4/2013 -Warning- Not over the top, but creepy. Someone asked me to draw something horror-esque, so I delivered. Done with eyeliner.

Spoiler

So yeah, I've got a long way to go 2013. >.<

Welcome Center / Chelleka Here~

So, Hello...I'm Chelleka! Just your average 16-year-old girl interested in improving my drawing skills.

'Came across MR while googling information on Light Novels, read through some of the threads, thought you guys could use another active member and decided to join! XD

I'm not as advanced as most users here and I tend to start more projects than I finish. But hopefully I'll improve a bit while I'm here and be of help to someone. ><''

See you around~

Was a bit surprised to come across an artist who uses hiragana/katakana for SFX, it's pretty rare. Back when I started, I practiced drawing all my SFX using Japanese characters because like you I found it to be far more appealing than it's western counterpart.

That was of course before I realized that what appealed to me most was the unique style in which it was drawn out, something you can easily mimic with our western characters and it looks just as attractive.

Anyway, just keep your audience in mind. Something as little as SFX could be a potential turn-off for some readers.
