everything looks good when you have lots of symmetry. most of these are random scribbles lol. I totally recommend having some fun with it. it would be great for making lacy kinda things maybe. or flowers definitely.

God you practice/doodle quite abit don't you! If it wasn't for the fact that I was going on hiatus to drill study I'd feel ashamed! Same words as on the other thread really keep this up pal. Only way is up for you

Update
Magnus Trooper Jane

Oh... wow, how have I not come across your post yet?
New fave artist here I LOVE JANE!  Your style and poses are fantastic, I just saw a post from an artist on a facebook art page that had a style so similar to yours literally 5 minutes ago... after checking again I can tell it's a little different you just have somewhat similar sketch styles. I prefer yours for sure. Keep this up pal

@ovoiumnoir well now that it's been pointed out I'm thinking that I would rather avoid it!
@walterB thanks! yeah she's a real cutie if I do say so myself :P

latest couple of copies

and a nice one that was an older sketch

Now that my production quality has gone up and the images are sharper, I can now see that I have no idea how to shade properly or draw hands to that level, so I'm gonna have to do a crash course in that to keep up with the rest of my skills. That, and as Devola says, backgrounds, and I might be in business :P

Don't think I've seen clean finished work from yourself ever, apart from the headshot and this, I started to wonder but I always knew you could, it's good to see what level you're at cos now I can keep close track of your progress. Which I think when it comes to that you may progress fastest here based on your sheer volume of drill-work... speaking of which just opened your other spoiler, and it proves my point. Love the eyes and the eye angles, mix the eye styles up a little more I think!

But otherwise it's theraputic seeing the drill sheets, dare I say maybe even a little more than the finished pieces!

Guess I'll upload this here since they're not super ecchi really. These are just character design finalizations for my story Reset. I haven't even written this far yet, so kinda spoilers for level four, but meh. I'm surprised I was able to draw anything at all today.

Reset spoilers
not that anyone really cares.

More sketches/works of Noel, pls ;)

I'll lineart one of them but not sure which. The short hair or mix and match.

would love to see either one rendered. awesome work.:)

First one! & I agree Keane get first one rendered, I've been missing quite a lot of work ere, this may just be one of my fave manga styles here, you've got this Obata-esque touch to the face and hair; he likes to acknowledge the chins in his characters, but you keep the facial features true-shonen simple like the nose and lips. The eyes however is a diff style I'm not familiar with, but I like them. Love this

Old habits die hard right? No, I wanted to do some more experimentation with the vector style while I'm getting used to this machine. Not to mention I still have about 100 characters to illustrate.

I always get curious over vector work, never done it myself before. Like what you've got going on ere x

Thanks both of you!

@suuper
Oh man, speaking of details. I keep THINKING I have the willpower those crazy good environment artists have when it comes to rendering fully detailed cityscapes but it just takes so long that I'm worried I'll lose interest in what I'm working on and never finish it. I've been trying to lab out a decent mid point for this, somewhere where I can still get those details without working as hard and so far, no dice.

My latest work that I posted on DeviantArt as a part of an ongoing art challenge between myself and a few friends, the theme was draw something about summer. So I drew my OC from my game project, Lydie enjoying some bubble tea! This is a good example of where I TRIED to do a cityscape but the tedium just broke me so I blurred everything and called it a day haha.

Hahaha totally feel you on full backgrounds. Cute work here nicely done

Erm. Samurai? I actually enjoy your style, it's something that - if you work on, will become your own cemented manga style, though this usually never happens without practice on fundamentals, see what Super does with the practice on faces, gestures etc? That's the way to go, but don't neglect that style of yours. You got potential pal :)

Yeah it's a habit I used to have to, though in real life some people do have ears that fan out like that, so you can consider that your style choice here :)

Honestly, I have a friend who I've been drawing along side with for about 4 years and he just doesn't understanding how necessary grind is to success. I actually don't see it much so to anyone of any skill level who gets the mileage done I've got massive respect for.

Keep these sketches up, I could learn from a couple of these too, the bottom left and top right (middle blue haired girl) are poses I'd probably struggle with myself initially. Good to see you doing the difficult poses. Also well done for getting the gesture down and acknowledging the relationship between the head, ribcage and pelvis - that to me is VITAL to understanding the body.

btw Supes What software do you use btw for the artwork? Sai?

very nice body :P
I'm trying to get the hang of male body at the moment but you've got it down really well. maybe the left hand is a little too small? I can't quite tell because I don't do foreshortening very much. i love how the lines are so solid but also so sketchy. this is exactly the style I'm trying to go for!
the eyes are also brilliant. would love to see it finished :)

You've got a very keen eye for detail Super! You'd be right the left hand WAS too small and was corrected a couple days ago, thanks for letting me know x
I think I'm starting to remember your name (I think) from when I used to be here, I really do wish you the best on your journey and I'm glad you're grinding, you'll get whatever style you want with that attitude.
Once again thank you and it's on it's way to being finished as I speak will try not to disappoint!
