Based on one of the frames from the ending.

Your whole defense is on the premise that its an "original" piece or after a certain percent of difference makes it ok. Theres a difference of copying screen caps and doing commissions of copyrighted characters.
When I'm saying basing it directly off a frame and selling it is wrong.
Both legally and morally.

Will there consequences for legal action? No, not gonna happen. Doesnt make it ok.
Its the same fallacy for mirroring or reduction of size/ manipulation.
Now I'm not much for copyright claims either or creator rights of an extreme.

Which is why I lean to the moral wrong. Your doing yourself a disservice and picking up bad habbits.

But no. Go a head. Discredit the whole other half of the criticism of learning to drawing and think fundamental to create more depth and overall; generally improve.

Somebody broke into my house on Wednesday.

I come back on here and hear that I'm being condescending, trolling, and making offensive comments.

At first I lol'd because I thought it was some kind of sick joke, then I realized that the mod in question was being serious. Who have I offended, been condescending to and trolled? Just a show of posts, please.

I said I would never come here again, but Gaff posted a new piece, so that kinda dragged me out.

But, No I've had my run ins with her too. I had 2 strikes.
On the seconded. I've been called a rascist for claiming the vagueness of differences between people and the racial background. Not getting into details of it. Or even down playing/ belittling a certain demographic. Just a simple statement. "No, we arnt all alike." Dont believe me? Then why would blood tran-fussions need blood of the same type and ethic background for a safe procedure?

I believe a misogynist/sexist for saying male/female differences. Which is clear as day. I dont go around expecting women to go around lifting as much as me.

Anyways, I know my attitude and behaviour is not the most acceptable.
But they are my convinctions. Cause of which. I'm not afraid to go looking for other ideas or mindsets against my own.
All I care for is an objective truth. To be stotic.
There is atleast a method to avoid the extreme of stoticism as well.
Ezekiel 36:26

I'll also leave with this quote.
"Tolerance is the Virtue of the Man Without Convictions" - G. K. Chesterton.

This is criticism.
Not an attack on you. I emphasis this.

I dont think you should be trying to sell your own renditions of official images at all. Not only is it a legal wrong, but a moral wrong as well.

I think it would be better if you learned the basics of drawing. Learning the importance of shapes and lines in negative space as much as drawing the character.
It would help with improving the overall symmetry and balance of your works.

Also, I know its nice to learn off reference. But dont just copy. It's better off learning from life drawings/photos and then stylize pictures.
As the latter is more so about learning techniques while the former is about structuring a solid foundation to play with.

@ Noisey:
No you were you not. But you wont giving solutions aside from opportunity towards schooling.
I was simply stating there needs to be a balance towards effective learning while not lowering a standards.
Which at the end of the day it is within oneself to change.
You could create as much opportunities or freedom of choice to people as you like. But without an emphasis moral ethics or work ethics people will learn towards the easiest path or demand to be accommodated without thinking about possible outcomes aside from their benefit.

There is propaganda being pushed in schooling mostly in history or biology where there is no narrative on the losers side of WW2. Evolution being taught we evolved from apes yet there was missing link was a proven fake (Piltman).
In sciences of gender/racial differences its either censored or condemned in favour of equality. As there was a study of heart differences between pig males and females but was heavily censored to support the narrative of people and sexes are equal.

And the media is biased. Its either fear mongering (War on drugs, Isis, race wars), avoiding coverage on certain events or misinforming (9/11, occupy wallstreet, Gamergate)
Not even getting in celebrity culture or even other entertainment media either.
Music videos as an example, still make me physically ill watching and are not enjoyable in the slightest...

But my point still remains.
Look towards your community first and foremost or be a hermit and enjoy material wealth/ worldly desires.

It's not really Thousands AGAINST Billions though. No one is actively trying to keep people from achievement. Society doesn't need to be influenced in THAT way.

Nope. Your dead wrong on the first part. All you have to do is look at mainstream media to figure what narrative likes to be pushed.
But a few examples would be:
-Using inside connections to get into universities
-Progressiveness/ Meet diversity quotas
-Bill lobbying (bill c-51, TPP/Trans-Pacific Partnership)

Basically, it's all on you, not society. Yes the systems could be better, like catering to the interests and learning styles of more people. But at the end of the day there is always a way to get where you want to go in life so long as you are prepared to work for it and present yourself accordingly. And, if you aren't willing and you want to fight for society to facilitate you completely, well... I don't hold that in a higher regard than someone who has worked hard to do well, academically or otherwise... so I'd empathise with the oldies and the employers who prefer to see the motivated people that haven't gotten caught up thinking that one exam on something they aren't good at makes the difference.
Its nice optimism for sure. But if you dont look into details then that narrow minded good faithfulness can be turn nothing good or you could see standards being lowered.
Worst case is propaganda being further pushed.

So rather than saying "When will I use Pythagorus' Theorem in my life", think "this is a skill I can add to my repertoire and I'm just going to do it as a means to and end, regardless of whether I will find it useful or not." And also bear in mind that a good 1/3 or careers will require an understanding of algebra and pythagorus', and what we do on this very site makes use of writing techniques like pathetic fallacy. These things are very useful, even if you don't understand why at the time.[/size]
Being optimistic is a rare. Most people rather be dismissive and spoon fed.
I think I remember hearing testosterone increases feelings of optimism rather than making you aggressive.
But I agree. Actually its sound life advice in general.

Unfortunately, not everyone across the world has the same accessibility to opportunities, which is a shame and isn't their fault. That is something that the world should definitely try to correct.
Its noble. But immigration isnt the answer to this.
You could look at Sweden or even at UK's unemployed statistics to see what happens over loose immigration.

ANYWAYS. What would I recommend?
Go to a church or community events. Find out what is happening locally if you want change.
If not then go full anime/ weeabo.

This whole video sounds to much like communism for me.

I agree with Noisey. Those who put forth the efforts will succeed.
Putting the blame on another isnt the way or healthy.

Now for education, you dont have to always follow the straight and narrow to a desk job.
You could always just go into trade schools or find out what apprenticeship you could go with.

However, I appreciate that doesn't work for everyone and I know that some people don't develop in an environment that facilitates them making the good choices. So I would like to see a less hard-nosed and academic system of education and assessment being developed that actually caters to more people.
There is. Its called common core.
Its not good at all.

The important thing to realize is to break down shapes into forms and how they relate to each other in a 3-d space. With that you could begin to play with perspective.

IE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLx57FWCdz0&feature=player_embedded

With a center line as a guide; I find it helps you play with overall composition flow /readability.
I've also read that its commonly practiced in manga/ illustrations to get an idea of the pose in one line.

Also a rule of thumb is that from the navel to where the crotch ends is roughly one head size.
Even when bending over or arching/rounding the back.

More G-pen practice.
But this time I had my tablet at a high sensitivity with using a smaller brush size at first then added weight at the default size.

The trick is arm control and lifting the pen as you fade out.
Gives a more natural thick to thin line. Overall there still improvements for depth and line weight practice, but I think its not to terrible.

The ridiculousness of it. More then likely it was just a mentality ill person or someone high as a kite.

Its not normal behaviour and shouldnt be used as an excuse to have no one sit next to you.

I remember there was a story years ago when some dude got decapitated when he was sleeping on a bus ride. Everyone was on edge during that year. But it died after that freak event.

Just have to be mindful of your surroundings and speak up, imo.

Wheres that Dave Chappelle joke where he said is was held hostage by some dude fapping it.

I dont believe the story though.
And this is coming from a dude that worked with a dude that would jerk off during breaks at work.

Also relevant to Japans "Herbivore movement" is the "MGTOW movement" here in NA.

Also whats sex positive? I all for it within reason. Just dont go overboard with it.
IE: Sl*t Walks, "Rape Culture" propaganda, Trans-gender promoting and w/e Tumblr is about

Cicada dude, did you read what the deviantart actually said before saying all that?

I mean... whoa man. I sincerely hope you didn't and were typing without putting attention.
Because what was posted was completely absurd, it's some weirdo who randomly took others works from that site and describes them simply as "dirty **** ****" for no reason. And then insults randomly.

I fail to see the 'rational' nor the 'respectable' part here really.

I think what you said was not really necessary.

All I saw was a dude spamming a clip board and looking through the galleries of the people in question. I still maintain my stance.

Its the same reason I often value the first glance of a random persons critic then another artist,
Even if its just an "lol thats nice" to me thats a "Meh" and I probably got lazy at something and brought the image to a lower quality.

You take the good with the bad.

Theres people I dont like either that I have to deal with it. As I'm sure there is people that dont like me either. I just rationalize it as if he doesnt attack me I wont attack.
If you want to "fight" then I'll "fight". As in rational and respectable debate.

Who knows, maybe there is a reason that he is doing it and you should look to improve on.
As an artist, the most vital skill is the ability to observe and analyze without bias.
