Definitely a huge time sink. I've got 250 hours in on PS4 and that's taking the last week off. x'D

It is a time sink but it can also be set up for a casual few hunts a night.

Status: Studying Javascript programming while working on a draft for a large format 3D printer. Also listening to people complain about their livs in Google Hangouts.

Progress: I got accepted into an advanced nanodegree program that should allow me to live REALLY comfortably afterwards.

My initial draft for the 3D printer is about 80% done. 70 hours of research into it. T_T   At the moment I just need to figure out all the safety mechanisms I need to add into it.

Improvements: Picked up a second part-time job related to robotics/manufacturing where they give me a bunch of scraps for free. Just a few days ago they gave me 95 meters of RGB LED strips. x'D

I have learned a bit about color palettes and typography to improve my photography and story-telling.

If the freckles are subtle, they're amazing. I don't like the aesthetics when they're all over the place. @_@

Sorry for the late start. I had to pick my parents up from the airport and they wanted to get something to eat on the way back home. xD

Anyway~ I'll be drawing the next 2 hours or so. Feel free to join for a creative session together! =D

https://hangouts.google.com/call/4feJEQ7QMHCuhxGGyUZsAAEE

All you need to do is log into your Google account to join.

Edit: Hangouts over for now. Unforunately I wasn't able to get much work done in the time I had set. I was getting a weird error where my pen wouldn't draw on the whole screen error. OTL

This is what I got in the hour I was able to sketch. It's going to be a gift for a friend since her favorite character is Sachiko from Idolmaster.

Things I can work on:
-Drawing body sizes accurately
.I originally drew the body MUCH bigger than it needed to be for her head size. It might have been me trying to use as much of the canvas as possible
-Drawing eyes
.Reminds me of my middle school days where I did NOTHING but draw eyes all day because that's all I could do well. xD

Going forward, I'll try to give a much wider time frame for people to schedule joining the hangouts later. @_@

Hey everyone!

I was thinking it would be fun if some of us can get together and draw on stream together. If you're a writer, feel free to come in too! The goal is to spend a bit of time with fellow Raiders each week to actively motivate each other. We will post our works on the forums after each session and continue discussions there.

I'll be posting a link to the Google Hangouts here an hour from now. You don't need to be on cam or even have your mic on. Official start time is 11 PM Central Time (United States).

Looks like Brandon Sanderson's videos will be great to watch. I'll start checking them out tonight. =)

Plague does offer insight into writing fairly often. I've seen him talk about it with the Dragon Ball Z/Super videos but they're sprinkled in throughout his Dark Souls playthroughs too.

I've been listening to a few youtube videos on writing in general and figured it would be a good idea to share some of the things I find here. Some of the videos I'll link are pretty long but they give you a great deal of information. You can probably listen to the videos while working on something else and still pick up on a wealth of information.

The first set I'll share is by PlagueOfGripes. His "Let's Gripe about Writing" series is a great look into the process in general.

Feel free to share if anyone else finds useful material to learn from!

Bless~ Persona cosplay is always fun!

I actually did the MC from Persona 4 many years ago and I have the outfit for the MC from Persona 5. xD

Going into Megami Tensei lore is going to hurt so bad though. They have so much work and so many iterations of the same fiends. I wish you the best of luck!

Drawing is definitely more difficult than writing for me.

The most difficult aspect of it for me is being able to draw what's in my mind accurately. I don't have the talent to draw a lot of the things I think of. xD

I know how that is.  I spent 3 years working 60 to 72 hours a week. By the time I got home, I'd be too exhausted to watch anything and just sink all my time into catching up on social media.

I've recently cut down my work hours to 20 hours a week at most and have been able to start binging again though. I actually recently finished all of Dragon Ball and am working through Dragon Ball Z now. All because I don't want to watch any more of Dragon Ball Super... x'D

Oddly enough I recently watched season 1 of Log Horizon as well. My friends tell me that Season 2 is much better but overall ratings say otherwise. =/
