MR Pub / Re: Comeback/holidays/departure notice.

So need to take another departure though I will be on skype from time to time, I wanted to try to get another podcast done but my plate is so full right now.

A quick break down, found out my aunt who basically helped raise me was diagnosed with breast cancer, she came to me of all people to help set up a fundrazr account and help her raise the funds for her medical bills. I couldn't say no wouldn't have anyway so been busy getting that launched and promoted.

My job with end gamers came to an end unexpectedly Friday. The CEO went on a power trip took 50 percent of the magazine (which he claimed was not making any money) and transferred it to his wife, then fired out editor the woman who brought 90 percent of us into the magazine. Threatened to edit down my podcast and a colleagues video cast both of which only we work on so he honestly had no right to do in our opinion especially since we had not received our promised payment for our work yet.  Needless to say this left us in a bad way 19 of us went from helping launch the magazine to basically being out of work. SO we decided to rally together get our intellectual property from end gamers and re launch a new magazine which will be out soon. But thats more work on my shoulders.

And that is on top of the home based business my god mother got me involved in because I honestly did need the extra money due to being free lance with most of my work. So I have been really busy promoting and going to meetings for that just this weekend I spent 7 hours helping out clients so its been really hard to get any free time to myself period.

Then to add I committed myself to a project that started here that I really want to see threw to the end and have been working hard to get that done. I just do not have much time left in my schedule right now so taking a small break to get things balanced again so that when I am on MR I can be a full contributing member. I cannot say the cast will be on definite hiatus its going to be a play by ear if I have a free day during the weekend I will try to get word to Coryn and Nexxun right now though it looks like its up in the air sorry about all this.

Glad people are tuning in and I dunno if its your Mic Coryn or how my speakers pick up cause right now I have my one friends cast turned all the way up and hes a pretty loud guy (yakscast) so I think its on my end gonna work on that soon may need a new sound card.

Thanks Jack I figured a fall like photo would be nice and found that one and it just fit. I like having opening photos to add to the blog posts it adds to the manga/anime feel to.

new cast is up sorry I couldn't stay on skype today my mom was driving me crazy I let her talk to my son then proceeded to listen to her whine and complain for a good hour. I was not in the mood to talk after that lol.  But I did get the new show up hope you all enjoy

*Note some of the issues with sound were hopefully cleared up in this cast some mics were lower then others so I enhanced as best I could without the voice completely distorting. We will work hard on making the casts audible to listeners.

A slight delay did not have time to edit this morning working on it right now but due to the constant interupts it will be safer for me to put the cast up tomorrow.

then you just click on the link with the episode # you can also download the casts by right clicking and selecting save as.

So definitely will have the new cast up tomorrow :)

It was a great cast I will have it up on the site by tomorrow afternoon going to listen to it and enhance sound where needed other then that it was a lot of fun and looking forward to the next one already :)

You have to use the img tags and make sure the image you are sharing is uploaded to a photo sharing site like photobucket, flicker or on a url that does not block images. You cannot add a file that is just on your computer unfortunately.

When you update your signature it should look like this

[img.]http://photo url [/img.]

take the . out I put them there so the code would not disappear so basically you put that before your image's url and it should give you a picture:

Hey sorry I didn't get to reply to you P4 as this is the 3rd podcast I am involved with I noticed its a lot better for all of us involved in it to just have a relaxed setting. Topics and stuff are great but we have some of our best shows when we are just letting it flow naturally.  I am not against structure but the whole point of the MR cast when I pitched the idea is to get people listening in and asking about who we are. If they see a bunch of pretentious art topics all the time I have a feeling they wont get the warm community that MR is. 

So when Coryn, Nexxun and I are chatting we like to make people feel at home and see friends shooting the breeze about art topics, writer topics and general manga stories.  We also invite others who are in the Skype room to come in and share their feelings on topics to and its always a good time.

Now onto sound I am still learning the ropes in the two other shows I am apart of its just me yakking on about topics.  And normally when I have guests their mics are loud enough though sometimes I have to enhance volume. I will start doing this more with the MR cast thing is being a laid back show sometimes we have things going on in the background of our homes that I really don't think the listeners want to hear (trust me having a squealing 7 year old yelling about his latest bug find is not always fun to tune into lol).  But I will work on the sound quality more the first few casts were bound to be rough since we are getting our footing but the more you do something the better it gets :)

I cannot wait for todays cast I will be on by 2pm but the taping will start at 3pm est :) look forward to all who can join into this session

Alright its been way too long since the last cast and its mainly been my fault, even when I am on skype lately its been work and dealing with family issues. I haven't even had time to read the latest craziness in the MR skype room but I swear this Sunday I am recording an MR cast come heck or high water, I hope that my co host are available if not it will be an open round table, topics that we may discuss:

1. Fear of  starting out in a supposedly closed off market. 
2. Writing outside your culture or writing stories based on your cultural up bringing. 

3. The art of anatomy. 

If anyone has any Questions you want answered in the up coming cast post them here I will read them during the recording :) And if you are interested in participating in the cast which is done on Skype I will be taping Sunday afternoon at 3pm eastern standard time (2pm central, noon pacific 9pm gmt)

I am looking forward to getting this cast recorded

I was really hoping Alexa would have done more against her attackers to but you know it does show that Nicholas cares a bit more then he lets on for him to be so willing to protect her. Bea yay I hope that she and Alexa develop a friendship I really think Bea will be the balance for her.  And ooh Raoul something about that Mortiv keeps me glued to your story. Please keep up the good work Shuuen I look forward to seeing the characters grow.

Whew okay got threw what I could so your going for a Shoujo? Interesting but i'll be honest it was kinda hard to follow the story. I am guessing the characters are all musical students or close to that equivalent and something about the way Shin plays is a major factor in the story? Correct me if I am wrong. I wont lie I am more used to action based stories, even Oh My Goddess had enough slapstick to keep it going threw the getting the kiss for Keichi stuff.

Thing is something like your story would possibly be easier to follow illustrated, I can imagine some of the scenes which is good anything with swirling music notes is pretty creative. I just don't think I get what the main focal point is yet. What I am going to do is re read this when I have more time, there were a few errors I saw as well like "blew in her neck", shouldn't that be blows on her neck? The other way around sounds kinda strange.  The explanation of the dj scene as well something about that sentence was off about her hanging about in the dark.

Either way good start I hope you keep at it and id like to see your next story installment.

Hey folks I have posted a bit about this in chit chat topic but seriously I know I have been MIA I have a ton of back reading reviewing and the podcast to get to work on I have been recently thrust into a new social circle and involved into a new business with my god parents. It has seriously eaten up the time I used to utilize for my personal projects. While I am finally finding some down time I still have a lot less time due to being brought out to different conferences and the like. Soon I'll even be traveling to different states in order to further business contacts.  What this means is I will keep my promise to review stories and works but it may take a while before I am able to respond. So do not be afraid to pm me if you want me to look something over. I am currently working on reading two stories from MR members that were sent to me either via Skype or PM I promise you will hear my thoughts on your work soon.

As far as the MR cast I really need to try to coordinate something this Sunday it is the only free day I have right now. I really thought id be able to do it sooner but I got roped into this business and I can really use the money (free lance stuff don't pay much right now). So I will be doing all I can to make sure you all know the MR community still means the world to me but I am really on a limited schedule right now and im going to have to try to get a lot of stuff done on Sundays now until things lighten up around here.

Well im back to my creative work but not for my personal stories yet. I really want to work on my eecchi world stuff next. But I have been getting the Acts done for that video game I was hired to work on so any writing done is a good thing. Really want to get together this weekend for the next MR cast it will be a nice way to unwind.
