Sounds rather dark but it's interesting. Have you thought of structure for the story like theme, genre, point of view etc.. if you need some introductory help, you can ask me. When it's written in a novel format or a comic, posting in here helps since there are many writers in manga raiders who can help you.

As for art, you can find your style eventually. I would suggest on keep on drawing, do the fundamentals, when you got used to drawing one style then the style will emerge eventually. I'm an artist also. If you need help in art field you can also ask me.

slam's art
Your art is pretty cool, your style reminds me of Hercules Disney movie. The sketchy bits makes your art unique in a sense that I don't considered it as anime. Good color choices, it made her look like an angel indeed.

I won't question the very narrow figure, but there is something that I want to point out. The eyes on the front face figure and the other sketches are not the same eyes. The simplify of the eyes maybe the factor of this but yea if it's a finished product, you can fixed the eyes easily to slanted shape.

My favorite of this piece is her sitting down. It was a difficult pose to me but this pic pose was delivered well.

I havent posted Devington's thread before. The latest art is punky looking, it looks great! I know coloring is hard but it will look alive when it does.

sorry for the late reply, I was doing something important..

I can tell that you love coloring so much. On my end though, my suggestion is to focus on the black and white arts when your goal is to improve the anime drawings. Draw as much as you can in sketches, then after that when you have time, you can lining and color them freely.

I would like to introduce the existence of art fundamentals. They're the essence of making progression art. And its not just character drawings, it also include backgrounds, perspective in general, color theory, lighting and shading, and composition. Its a fun subject and at the same time a very dull one. if you are interested, I am sure that they can be borrowed in the library. I found a few from my local place. That is pretty much my most significant advise that I can share with you. When you know what it is, I think you know where to start.

Feel free to send me a message if you need some more help about the art fundamentals. If you got lost or something. I have discord account as well if you want to discuss me in real time.

its alright, I thought I could help you direct you to a right location.

Ah cool, starting to draw with the help of reference is alright. I did that when I did my art fundamentals as well. I am not sure with the anatomy particularly on the hips it looks a bit weird to me. the proportions of the legs isnt accurate. A bit of foreshortening issues on the arms but thats okay you were just starting. I did notice you are good in drawing hands despite that you just started drawing for 7-8 months.

regarding the style, do you want to keep it anime? do you want to learn semi-realism or realism? those are the things you might consider when you do your art journey. Anime is considered as a style, simplified version of the realism. I wont force you to do something that you dont want to do. Certain artists chose different paths in order to keep their own style relative to the realistic human anatomy. learning both (stylised like anime, and realism) is good but it will be more difficult path to take. Yeah, thats is why I asked what is your art goal like do you have a certain drawing from artists that you love the most and willing to corporate their style to your own? or something like that.

Welcome to the art world, every thing is a fun journey and I hope that you keep on treating it well. Everyone has their own pace, looking at your own will help you improve faster.

hey there,

You can post your art works in the Manga Art Gallery section of the forum. People do look and give advice for improving your art.

as for the pic, i have a couple of questions:
+did you draw this with a reference?
+when did you start drawing pictures?
+what is your art goal?

@Kurisu's Dream story:
That Sasha though, he's not letting Cato talk.. hey, I want to know what he wants to talk about.. jeez talk about cliff hanger. ;w;

I can reflect on your writing style while learning more from the book that I just bought "The wheels of time" series, I notice our lack of descriptive setting. But at this time, it really didnt bother me when reading it but wanting to know the flow of the story. the flow and pacing is doing well when i read it.

@Operative's Story story
Allen and Wallace screen time! I learned a thing or two about the barracks from this chapter. introducing the weapons are well delivered, it made sense. I still cant imagine in my head however. I wonder what kind of adventures that they will find in the fort?

@God's Phantom Story:
chp 3-latest
As promised, I reread it again. here are some points that I am confused. There are some terms that are not explained well in the story. When I looked at it close, it gives me some assumptions of what it is. I understand that you want to keep the scenes more mysterious but its not to aim on making the reader confused. You do want to keep the attention from the readers interested so my advise is to sacrifice some of them from being too mysterious to semi straightforward settings/dialogues. and then take advantage the terminology to have more details so it would be more clear.

I do like your story, it relates to my main story. I would like to know whats going on next and hopefully this can turn into a real book. Its quite unique to be honest.
