Pretty tight work, they have a chill sci-fi mood. At first, I thought the watermark is part of artwork like hologram text.  I can see people taking your art and using it for their novels covers and stuff. A watermark makes sense.

General Discussion / Re: Learn to draw or partner up?
« on: February 04, 2019, 01:07:47 PM »
Artists or writers, it's not easy finding a partner. I tried offering writers to draw their story for free. The majority get excited at first then disappears three weeks later.
Or they will be strongly against writing anything. Saying things like. Writing the story is not important. I have the story written all in my head, I'll tell you and you just draw it. Let's just wing it. The main character doesn't need a backstory, it doesn't matter. I heard it from multiple writers, I thought I must be doing it wrong.
Thankfully I learned from a prevues collab (that lasted three years) that if we don't plan and just wing it we are just two headless chickens running around and nothing get made.

In theory, collab sounds great. Finding the right person etc Don't want to repeat what everyone said.

Now I'm collaborating on a project with a family member. It's my first collaboration outside the net. It's going nice but sometimes it's hard finding the time to meet and work on things. So yea, collab comes with its own set of problems. Weight it against what you getting it from it. I made a couple of friends from it

Making comics/manga is a lot of work and not a lot of money in it. You gotta have a love and passion to do it.
You decided to practice and look for an artist. Great. Whatever you feel right for you. Go out there and mingle.

Exciting seeing people working on their projects. From the art on your facebook looks like a martial arts story. What's it about?

I was trying to make it look like the Screentone with GIMP one. But couldn't do it without the pixelation and clarity. Tried it with the Combined in GIMP, better results but still pixelated. I think it's the image size is small for clip studio. I like clip studio. I see more artists start to use it. Moving from photoshoot there was some difficulty, after that it's nice.

You are discovering your own methods of doing things.

The result is pretty good. From here you can take it in any direction you like.
I tried taking one of your renders and convert it in clip studio. Wanted to see if it work there.
Thats the Kerkythea one. Maybe the GIMP would have turned better.

Turn Out nicely Good work!

Develop Your Story / Re: Superhuman Ability-Type Manga Idea

It's not that its a tough crowd. The ideas sound nice but. From what I see people have their own ideas that they are passionate about and want to get made.
Don't take that no one jumping on your ideas personal. If you enjoy making ideas Go ahead and make them. Maybe someone will find a spark of inspiration in one of your ideas.

At first, it sounds like a normal superheroes story.
The evil within spoiler
When we get to the trapped inside his mind part. The evil within. It's a horror game where at the end you find you are inside someone mind. Again It's not a criticism. Like you said your plot may separate it and make it stand out
It's a cool idea, it can be a fun superheroes story. I think you enjoy a build up then a twist in your writing.

Develop Your Story / Re: Sorcery-Type Manga Idea

It's not confusing. I got what going on clearly. Just didn't know where it's going at first. Maybe the mystery build up is part of the story.

At first, I was not sure where this is going. When it gets to the gun-wielding sorcerer in primitive lands can't help but think about the dark tower. Dark tower meets Yugioh, Which is not a criticism, it's just what I was thinking while reading it. It can be a cool story.

I post there once a while. I have mostly sentimental feelings for the site, being my first art website and all. But I get what you saying.

Your art really nice. I think you got social media covered. You are on all the big ones. Check Newgrounds maybe. Recently A bunch of artists migrated there.
