This was inspired by a 24 hour manga marathon, but I'm assuming most of us are too poor to buy truckloads
of manga and rather read online, so 12 hours would be more healthy.

Basically it is a challenge where you read different sets of manga within a 12 hour time period.
The sets include:

1st set: A manga that is suggested to you
2nd set: A manga that is pre-1990's
3rd set: One of your top favorite manga

You will have to complete all the sets within the 12 hours AND write a review
of each manga (can be short but not too short (e.g. "It was cool and I liked
the heroine's boo- personality." That is too short.)). The sets should be done
in order, because, of course, the 1st set you'll have the energy to go through
something you're not super keen on reading and after that you'll be warmed up
for your second set; an old school manga. Then the 3rd and final set you'll be
tired so reading something you love and have already read will be easy on the eyes.

Each participant must suggest 2 or 3 manga, and each time they participate in the
marathon they can suggest one more. You can participate whenever you feel like it,
though there will be set events from time to time where everyone can participate as
a group.

- Ash(i)ta no Joe ~ [Slice of Life, Boxing] (Pre-1990's)
- Tasogare Otome X Amnesia/Dusk Maiden Of Amnesia ~ [Mystery, Romance, Supernatural]
- Akuyome (Ore ga Akuma de Aitsu ga Yome de) ~ [Comedy, Fantasy, Romance]
- ST&RS ~ [Slice of Life, Sci-Fi]
- Zetsuen No Tempest ~ [Action, Fantasy, Drama, Romance]
- Wagatsuma san ore no Yome/ Wagatsuma is my Wife ~ [Comedy, Romance, Drama] It's still ongoing but there's plenty to read imo
- Onani Master Kurosawa ~ [Dark comedy, suspense, drama]

- Dengeki Daisy ~ [Comedy, Drama, Romance]
- Absolute Boyfriend ~ [Romance, Comedy, Sci-Fi]

- Holyland ~ [Slice of Life, Street fighting]
- Jackals ~ [Action, Martial Arts, Mature]
- Kiseijuu/Parasyte ~ [Horror, Sci-Fi, Psychological] (Pre-1990's)
- Zennou no Noa ~ [Mystery, Sci-Fi, Psychological]
- Bartender ~ [Slice of Life, Drama]
- Riki-Oh ~ [Action, Prison, Mature] (Pre-1990's)
- Black Jack ~ [Medical, Drama, Mature] (Pre-1990's) listed as the 4th best selling manga of all time.

I'm gonna go with Elder Scrolls Oblivion, nothing offered me more of an escape than that. Pokemon and Dragonball Z games come after that.

So lately I've been attempting to read more manga running in shonen jump and I decided to pick up Saiki, and man do I cherish that choice! This manga simply has some of the best humor I've ever come across and I recommend it to anyone. I get a laugh out of every page and I'm sure you will too

Manga Talk / The Fall of One Piece
« on: June 13, 2014, 03:21:51 PM »

After five years of utter dominance One Piece has been thrust from it's throne by the insanely popular Attack on Titan. 8mil to 4mil is no close shave, AOT went godzilla on that sh*t. Though in my personal opinion I think this will only last for no more than a year, being a monthly serial AOT is at the disadvantage so volumes wont come out as fast as OP volumes do.

What are your opinions?

Manga Talk / Nanatsu no Taizai/The Seven Deadly Sins

This is practically the next big shonen manga with it's 23rd spot in the top selling series so far this year. I read it and I must say it has potential, it's art is very much like dragon ball and it's about as interesting too. I believe this manga has plenty potential to become something really good.

Any members here? I found this place the other day and it's pretty awesome, it's got plenty of awesome free indie games like Pokemon 3D (THIS GAME IS AWESOME) and Toribash. The membership is interactive so that's pretty cool too.

Don't you wanna go there? I swear I'm going to go there a few times and get dem tattoos!!

Basically it's a software in which people who cannot draw can make manga. It's pretty cool but I wouldn't use it, though I thought it would be helpful to someone else. What do you guys think about this?
