I came here to find a writer's story to draw and now I'm writing several of my own. :sure:

Welcome.

Yeah, on the topic of gaining an artists attention you'll either have to stick around and make some friends or wave some money around. Next to no one will reply to a "work for free" post from someone they don't know.

I have never watched it. Is the only one of the top 3 I have never watched. I finished Naruto, started One Piece (way too long, I have to finish it at some point) but never Bleach. How good is it compared to the others?
Well all 3 have/had their strengths and weaknesses, but I think overall I enjoyed Bleach the most.

I can't tell if she's supposed to have a hand on that arm or not, so maybe that can help with the asymmetry? Put a glove on that hand?
She has a hand there yeah. Just haven't redrawn it after changing the pose yet.

Can you, like, binge watch Aoi Bungaku with me? (seinen) otherwise go watch Death note again please. :l
Random Q do you still have your website with artists/writers? Been ages
I really shouldn't binge watch anything right now. I got a ton of stuff I want to get done before the fall semester starts. And the forum is still open, yep. It's a ghost town though.

What's Aoi Bungaku? And wait Robin has a website?
Yeah, I made a comic creation forum back before I wandered into MR. Sometimes I host collab projects over there, but most of the time it's empty.

And this is something way overdue to be finished for someone on DA. Still trying to figure out the whole digital painting thing.

Been considering binge-watching Bleach for the 6th time. Somebody stop me. I got more important things to do.

Ah, thank you. I'm a fan of her design myself haha. I think I considered giving her bracers at one point. The asymmetrical idea is worth trying too, so I'll see what I come up with. (And dead on with the personality, glad it comes across.)

One thing to consider for when you start drawing again is something my figure-drawing professor told my class at the beginning of the semester. She said to throw the number of heads guideline out of your arsenal of techniques. The only use for that guideline is if, and only if, the figure is standing at eye level, facing you straight on, and are standing stiff as a board (and only if the figure has "perfect" proportions). At any other time foreshortening comes into play and will look strange if you try to fight the change in size/proportion it causes.

Next commision out the way, Kaneki next

Definite improvement since we worked together. I have a couple pieces of advice for your future drawings and they work together. First off is to avoid using black/gray for your shadows, even on whites. Shadows almost always the the most saturated areas of color. In skin if you remove the saturation in shadows the effect will always look a bit corpse-like. Second is to keep the environment's color and the color(s) of the light in mind when you're working on the character(s). Surfaces will almost always reflect their color onto the surfaces around them. They are being surrounded by so much green, yet his coat and shadows are very blue.

Two little things I noticed that I think may have just been missed are that Kenpachi's sword guard and Yachiru's badge are still flat color.

Thanks again Lego haha.

And we'll find out soon! But before that, I got detoured by a commission from Fortis.

Here is his character Anaste, the Dark Angel of Galifor rendered and designed by yours truly.

Spoiler

I will be accepting requests again after a short break, join our Discord or keep tabs here to see when!
Now, I need to repay Lego with some MR fanart...
Wow, every time I wander into your thread I can see improvement. Great job on making the figure 3-Dimentional, but don't be afraid to push the darks on the light colored surfaces to give it an even greater pop. I do get a tad bit lost on her ankles/feet though. Either it's an anatomy issue or a perspective one but she appears to have two sets of ankles and her toe areas look concave.

Second generation anime/manga fan huh? I see that you're using references while drawing, that's good. The only way to know if something looks right when drawn is to know how it looks in life. This applies to everything from anatomy to foreshortening. Keep it up.

I've been working on an art collab with the discord boys the past couple of weeks, and I'm kind of proud of this little color experiment of mine. Slam did the sketch, Flames did the lineart, and as I hinted, I did the color. Something about the skin tone still bothers me a bit. Maybe being surrounded by so much green made it look a little green-ish also (which is weird because I definitely picked it from the oranges and even overlayed it with more red) but whatever. I am now in love with color dodge.

Discord Art Collab
I only did the color!

I think Devola's painting style rubbed off on me. FINALLY, I HAVE OSMOSIS'D SOME SKILL.
Color theory is difficult. I spent the latter half of the spring semester on it and it still tricky. We actually used a fair bit of green on skin, purposely. I do agree though that she looks a little sickly. I would try having the shadows closest to the areas that were colored purple be purple. Most surfaces reflect some color onto the areas around them, especially in shadows where the colors are the most saturated. On that note never use black to darken an area in a colored drawing.

@OviumNoir
Here's a wip of Keith's design. Keith is on the right and his sister, Aria, is on the left.

And here's a current project. Trying to give Jasper a finalized design.

Still not quite sure on the design of her hairclip, which is her familiar/weapon summoning item. Also feel like her arms are too bare, but that may be because she's had long detached sleeves since her creation. And... trying to decide if she has a breastplate (armor) or just a shirt/binder.

Oh one other thing. I started with blocks of color and then added lines. It's something I picked up in my figure-drawing class and it helps me a ton.

Time will tell. No cracks currently, but I've read some posts where cracks can appear a few days after baking so I'm going to wait a bit before sanding, painting, and clearcoating.
