So I know it just started, but Megalo Box is like, the absolute *censored*? It's so rough and yet so smooth in its animation. It feels like it's from the 80's, but the picture quality is just superb, and the way they direct the matches is worthy of any of the best boxing films.

Give it a shot guys.
They really did try hard to get that oldschool anime feel to everything, reminds me so much of Trigun in some of the more desolate shots. Apparently they even purposely down scaled it and then re-scaled it back up so it'd look even more old

I don't know why it reminds me of like 90's anime, might be just be the bright colors and rounder eyes but its pleasant and faintly nostalgic to me

Things have actually been so slow during winter time from all the extra work hours I have to take up, I'm so much happier its getting to be spring and I have more time to draw. Also less money but Ehh

Faintly video game related game over screen I did on a whim because I was watching The Expanse, almost NFSW warning for almost nudity

And random Ephemera based emote set I made

last month I've decided to attend Anime North this year, and I'm trying to decide if I want to cosplay this year.

This is going to be my second year going, it's a really nice con and I have a list of loot I have to get my hands on when I get there. I also just started watching Made in Abyss a few days ago despite how much got accidentally spoiled for me by a friend of mine

General Manga writer discussions / Re: Why is DBZ so good?
« on: October 22, 2017, 10:19:23 AM »
I think a large part of it is the fact that for a lot of us it's also our introduction to shounen and it and a few others help codified the genre and the reason a lot of the cliches exist is in the first place is because of how popular and successful DBZ is. I normally hate tournament arcs but I enjoy DBZ and Yu Yu Hakushos Tournaments a lot

True, although I think on the whole, Canadians we're more pro-war. It's often forgotten that Americans were very against joining the conflict until pearl harbor. Even then, a lot remained opposed to it.

Truth, especially since Canada still had a ton of loyalty for Britain and they were a close ally so it's pretty natural to send help and side with them. Canada actually holds a record of actually being pretty effective in both world wars

My brothers a huge war nut but i stick to a lot more mythological compared to his stuff

Not as long as you'd think actually its only like 8-frames long repeating for like a total of 16, too me like a afternoons worth of work to put together, I'm usually too lacking in ideas to think of anything to aniamte

An bit of am out of place post but why not ;).
What colour is reccomended for doing sketches?
I tried out an light red for creating my sketch it somhow feels better then using gray.

Personally I do rough in light blue, if It's a large and complex picture I go over with red and final in black

I use paint tool Sai for pretty much everything but the word bubbles, I usually drop it into manga studios or photoshop to finish those and add text.

It's true it is a little contrived but I'm trying to error on the side of things happening in the plot rather than slowing things down to crawl, Mostly my focus is on expressions, anatomy, backgrounds and scene composure

Me and my friends use ours for art and games, trying to make more of it a habit to get into and do every day.
