Nah I'm not online so much anymore, so all the online stuff I used to do, is now fading and all I do is type content for my website. The one mentioned above.

Sorry Monsterful, but you appear to be wrong. You can access any CSS stylesheet no matter who coded it. This being said, if you can access it, and have permissions to overwrite it on a server, then you can edit it.

Also if you're using a template with CSS for your own personal use, then you can rip that CSS to bits and use just the bits that you want to. It's like HTML and very simple to master. The only real complexities that it may have are browser compatability issues, which do have some fixes, and hacks to create work arounds.

If you're learning this, then I found the best book out there to develop CSS knowledge was "Sams: CSS in 5 minutes". Fantastic book, and only covers what you really need to know.

Rock on.

I do pop back from time to time, not to say I actually post anything. But yes this thread is dead considering the website is now closed.

Has anyone else seen this?

I seen this when I was sharing a place with two mates and smashed out of my mind, which made it exceptionally funny, but when I seen this in a normal state of mind, it was not as fun, although still quite funny. Whats everyone elses opinion on it?

The camera was intentionally like that, because it's a documentary spoof. Not to say it didn't bug me too
What drives me nuts is when a real TV show does that, I find it really hard to watch and usually have to stop watching it or I'll get a headache.

But the movie was good, I rented it with my mom and she hated it. She said she didnt want a documentary, she wanted an alien action flick. I told her if she watched more than the first 10minutes before declaring that it was terrible and walking away, she would have liked it a lot more.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this moive.

You see I'd say that was the reason but I have to admit that I really liked Cloverfield which was done in the same way, however district 9, it just didn't hit the right spot, you could say.

From the acclaimed director Joss Whedon, came the unfortunately short television series known as FireFly, that was cut short before the last episodes of the series aired on television. Firefly managed to acquire 4million viewers whilst it was aired but due to the last episodes never being placed live on the television, the series went through to DVD and the sales exceeded what was expected, causing a series re-think.

The problem for Joss Whedon was that the series had been cut, so how could he continue to keep the audience happy? Simple he made a feature length film that went straight through to the big screen, without the viewers needing to know the series.

Serenity follows the crew of a smugglers spaceship venturing through the solar system that has been almost man made through teraforming, in the aim to create the perfect society. This dream created by the "Alliance" is not long lived and the outer planets are full of those who do not agree with the lives that they are expected to live within this society.

The movie Serenity follows the lives of the crew on board the space ship known as "Serenity" and the dark truth that they discover about how the solar system they live in, has come to be. This truth takes them through a journey that pushes their lives to the very edge of the solar system and makes them witness how mankind created such a horrific thing as the "reavers".

The crew of Serenity have to avoid both the Reavers and the alliance to show the rest of the galaxy what the truth really is, in order to stop the alliance from making more mistakes and ending valuable lives.

I will leave you to watch the movie to discover what this horrific truth is, but I have to admit that even if you have seen the series Firefly, you will not see the truth that the crew of Serenity discover, to be the most obvious of truths.

I really enjoyed this movie, so 4 out of 5 stars goes to Joss Whedon.

= my opinion lol

Movies and TV shows / Re: Ice Age Movies : Ice Age / The Meltdown
« on: April 17, 2010, 03:56:50 AM »
Firstly I have to start off with a completely opinionated point of view. Sid is awesome!

With that aside, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, was a very family orientated theme, about not only members born into a family but how families are created through moral points of view and variation. I believe that this alone to a young child is a very good influence.

The movie itself goes along the lines of, Manny having a child, and trying to create a safe harbour for the young one to be brought into the world, with the misconception that he is the largest creature walking to date. Ironically by doing this, he leaves Sid slightly jealous and results in him finding 3 dinosaur eggs within an undiscovered world below the ice. Sid appropriately names the eggs “Shelly”, “Yolky” and “Eggbert”.

Well, you guessed it, the creators chose the most typical of dinosaurs for Sid to become a surrogate mother to, T-Rexs. This leaves for an entertaining perspective because even though the baby dinosaurs wish to eat all the other children, Sid being stubborn continues to protect them, and even makes one spit out the other child animals he has swallowed whole.

One of the most enjoyable and movie focussed characters within Ice Age this time around is "One Eyed Buck", with the voice over being performed by Simon Pegg, who has managed to portray his comedy very well into the movie as he tries to help the bunch rescue Sid from the angry T-rex mother. One Eyed Buck, is like the animated prehistoric Indiana Jones, that works very well within a story of love, potential loss and fear within unfamiliar surroundings.

I believe that overall this movie, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a thoroughly enjoyable family movie with some good laughs for all ages, and worth the cost of a cinema ticket. Go see it!

Well thats my opinion. lol.

The story was fantastic, the movie was terrible. I'm a passionate camera follower, so I love photography and directing etc, and this movie did my head in, when it came to how they produced it.

I think there will be a good followup and if they get the camera work right, it'll be fantastic. =p

never heard of it. on another note when did you get back?

Right now, lol, sorry I've been away for a while, although I have kept browsing the forums. The reason I've been away is because I had to have surgury in January and I'm now in the process of moving country (from the UK to Canada). =O

I've seen a lot of games, and have yet to hear of Tibia. I mean, I surfed the web for games and I do not remember the name Tibia, for a game that is, I think it was a bone in the body...

I'm more for action filled MMOs, what's Tibia like?

It's a massive multiplayer online role playing game. The graphics may not be the best but damn it's addictive once you've reached level 20 and such. hehe. You can kill other people, or play on worlds where you can't. I think there's about 40 worlds, so 40 servers you can use and the array of people that play the game is vast. It's free or you can become a premium member.

Marcus XD
