Digital background practice. Not as detailed as my traditional ones as my focus for this one was doing one-point perspective.
My original idea was to do a bridge leading to a fantasy castle, but I couldn't resist going scifi.

@suuper Gotcha. And thanks! I'm finding it's a lot harder to keep a consistent schedule, even though I'm trying to post every two weeks. Part of the challenge I guess.

Yep! It's fun to see characters transform c:

Lately I've been just sketching/doodling. Not a lot of finished works.
Earlier this month I attempted a different style after looking at some art books. I need to get used to colouring more....It was fun to do and I rather like the result of it.
Feel free to give suggestions/feeback.

Pretty scenery piece 0w0 I really like how you did the water and the shading on the tree.

Style is definitely something I struggle with too. Mine seems to shift every so often. But trying everything out that you feel like doing, whether it be dark, light, colour, or b&w is a great way to explore different waters and get a feel of what you might want in your style. Some say one's style is actually a combination of all the styles you absorb, so don't hesitate to go with what you feel like drawing on those days!

Just my five cents :)

How cool! Lovely work with the shading and the details, like the texture of the metal and the cables.
It's really satisfying to look at a finished piece like this. Are you working on any other pieces at the moment?

@suuper Haha, true. The 'defect' came after she got into an accident, so she considers it as something definitely not normal XD

@Robin ^^; By using the time I should've been using for academic studies, ehehe. (Lol, I hadn't realized that either xp)

@Vacant Thanks! I appreciate the comment ^^

@Gabryel Aw, thanks! I'll remember to post more in the future. c:

Update --

Realized I hadn't mentioned it here, but I'll tell you guys now. A few of you might know this already.
I've started drawing a little random comic series that I'm posting on Tapas!

Trash Head Talks - A slice of life story following a struggling writer and his misadventures.

Link to Comic:

It's an experimental project, as I want to get accustomed to drawing a character consistently in some sort of story setting. Would anyone be interested if I posted it here as well?

More sketches -

Sigh Lavallen: Aseloti Appearance
Note: The Aseloti are a race in the story that has catlike features and behaviours whicih show when they get excited. Sigh normally looks like a human girl with a shy and moody personality, but takes on a wild appearance when triggered: tufted ears, animal-like eyes, extended claws and teeth.

Your sketches are so pretty! owo
You're doing a challenge as well? Good luck!
Really liking the different types of faces you're drawing. 7 and 13 are my favourites.

Congratulations on completing another regime Suuper!
Felt that the heads certainly started looking more 'natural' down the pages, the rounded chins for example, and the proportions on the face. It's also helpful to see the presence of the forehead, something that gets overlooked sometimes in drawings.
A lot of good work put into here. Keep it up! c:

Thanks guys XD

very nice, I like the shading style and the line variation :)
I saw an artist on DeviantArt that does something similar to this shading style and wanted to try it out.

Update --

I don't have a lot of finished pieces this time around. Instead I've been working on putting down concepts for my story - character/environment designs and such.

Bit of a sketch dump but this is how I like to get things down.

Character Design - Dae
This is a character I've had around for a loooong time and decided to redesign her. She's Shira's older sister.

Other designs

Top-down concept Acor Village

Only 32? There were some quiet spots during the year weren't there? Ah well...
CHIT CHAT 2019!

I started my year by eating cookies and reading the last episode of Noblesse  Almost can't believe it. The webtoon actually finally finished...

What about everyone else?

Nice to see the different pieces of work you did through the year.
I like the October one as well and the November one.
Keep up the good work!
