Develop Your Story / Reaper's 0: Work in progress

“how much it worth to ya?” she spoke smugly, her lips curled into a smile, her small stature masking her devious intentions. “well?” she repeated “how much is your life worth to ya?” i paused for a moment, looking around at the filth that made up my room and before i could respond, she rose a single finger.
“less than one.” she blurted. “w-what?” i replied. “all humans lives are worth, at the very least, the life of one other human. Yours however…” she paused smirking as she leaned back, “is worth less than one.” what could she mean?
“you see, the value of a human's soul goes up and down during certain periods of their life, and unfortunately, your life has dropped to the point that neither heaven, nor hell is bidding on it. Which puts me in quite the position…”
All i could do was stare at her, dazed and confused. Before i could reply, she stood up the glisten of light along the length of a long silver blade as it hangs over her shoulders, her small demeanor holding such a ghastly role.
“I am…”
She spoke in a low tone.
“your Reaper.”
