Cool stuff! Glad to hear things are going well!

Thanks!
It's probably the best way that I have felt for a long time!
Might as well post another one than.

Haven't seen me for a while? Well, I am currently working with my friend on a story called "Slayers", I am just doing the arts and helping a little bit with the novel. Will probably post both on Mangaraiders to my parents here. You people are like a family to me.

I am half done with the cover but, since I am still learning on tablet, I keep working on with the old fashion pencil and eraser.

Most are on their chibi version though.
Here goes:

thanks :)
I think a foundation is definitely a good term for this because you can build off it in different directions depending on your style and the way you want to go, but you still need that basic understanding of how it works.

I agree entirely with that, only practice can lead us to where we wish to be, at the level that we want to each.

Our weak imaginations hold us back when creating art just from our heads, because its so hard to recall specific details of things. I try and copy a piece of art or photo directly, then create a similar piece of my own design, but with the same folds or clothing design, from memory. The next day just glance at it, and try and draw another and that will help you to memorize how some clothes look and how the folds go. eventually you start to to be able to imagine/remember the folds in your head (this did happen to me at some point but I could still use improvement haha)

That's a great idea!
I think that's like solidifying a foundation, for example, you work on your memory to gain access to not only, remember the folding techniques but also, it expand on your creativity as well.
I saw, your drawings and they look amazing!

I am not good at making folds but, I will try.
Thats the spirit!
It's best that we practice the things we can't do otherwise we wont ever get better!
You can always use a random photo to get an idea of which way the folds would go realistically. You don't have to draw every single fold as a copy, just get the general "oh there's one here, and one over here pointing this way" kinda feel.

I will try it out, I certainly need to get folding into art because, imo, they define a drawing with more than what we usually imagine.

Yeah they can get my approval when they actually get actualized, lol, not while they're still being little buggers.

I second that lol

you have my sympathy. kids can be heartless sometimes, but at least they are usually honest. If you ever want a review you know where to go. Ask them what they would write instead and make money off it.

I should have asked these monsters about that lol, I will be sure to remember next time

That definitely sucks. Children are a pain, but they're still learning how to be people. It's natural, and they aren't all likely to be monsters once they've self actualized.

I know but, I can't like them, I have a lot of bad memories already by dealing with them lol.

Small children just make my anxiety skyrocket, and then they're incredibly known for saying and doing things that frankly don't make sense to anyone but them, which makes a mess for those of us who have the ability to use logical thinking.

I second that. At least, now I know that I don't have to try liking them anymore, I tried too much.

It's hard to think that, nowadays, we can't even yell at them without people giving off stares...
Logic isn't the childrens strong suit.

I don't know about that, especially with the some on here that are from like, late elementary and early middle school.

At late elementary school tho, I was still drawing stickman...lmao!

I think they look good and cute!

And this is why I hate small children. :push: Ungrateful little buggers.

The disrespect was much more than what I expected from them, I mean, I knew that was story wasn't good to begin with but, they could at least not do this kind of thing.

I am not fond of children either... They make me so depress.

It's not that bad!

Honestly, considering that these are arts when you just had started drawing, I think they were superior to usual beginners drawings.

I got booed by the childrens there when I was attempting to read them a story that I wrote for them.
Obviously, they didn't like it and in the end, I was booed by them...

Not sure this needed a thread but, you know me...

for a first time drawing hands, thats certainly better than my first hands :P
well done on the lips and eyes. it would be nice to see a few lines for folds on the clothes though. keep it up!

Thanks, I will try to add a little more folding, tbh, I am not good at making folds but, I will try.

The lst hand looks nice

Thanks!

Love the hands there. Hands are a treat for the eyes when drawn well.

I haven't posted for quite a while some drawings so here this one,
I am actually proud of it!

Oooh I like her look! What's her name?

It's actually my first time drawing an hand lol! I didn't expect it to look like that at first.

Thanks! Her name is Hara, she is one of the main characters from a story that I am writing

In the first new one I can't tell if the character doesn't sleep well or if they're wearing eyeliner under the eyes. The second one has a good purpose. I think while you're using your camera instead of a scanner to send images, it might help to really push values, e.g. make the darks super dark and the lights almost white with your eraser if you have to, that way it prevents the camera from muddling up everything.

They were supposed to be heavy eyeliner but, I think that I missed that lol

I will, especially since my camera is trash.

Thanks!
